Madden 09: Whats your play style?

Being a Bengals fan, I have multiple way to get open and acell of O without cheesing.
It usually depends on how the other person is playing. If they are giving me a lot of zone and are conservative as passing rushing goes, I like to tear them up with the CJ TJ combo, and now that we are going to have Ben Utech, that will help a LOT against people who use the zone frequently.

As far as people who like to blitz and play bump and run, or just man to man, I love play action, but my ace in the hole for blitz freaks is the HB screen. After a HB screen that goes for 30 yards they usually back off a little. It's then that I like to pound it with Rudi Johnson for first and second down then I can get pretty freaky with Chris Perry, he is very agile, also good to screen with if I haven't already.

As far as D goes I don't have much to work with. I usually have to blitz 1 LB to get moderate pass rush, if I don't it's rare if I get a sack. I do love zone blitzing though. I have forced so many interceptions. I also like to roll out the CB blitz every once and a while (especially for cheesers who are all over in and out of the pocket with Tom Brady type of people), it really catches a lot of people off guard resulting in a sack or hurry. I can't really man to man teams with a decent TE because they always tear up my Linebacking corps.

I play with the Giants, so it's Jacobs, Jacobs and more Jacobs and then some Jacobs and a play action, lots of screens too.

ive been using the Giants for quite sometime

i run to set up the pass

play action fakes = a key component in my arsenal.....but the pass commit ruins that(dumb ea) as people pass commit every play while stacking up the box

on defense i could never play like the giants as the front 4 dont generate enough pressure, but hopefully this year tings will be different

i run zone/man mix 60/40

i just get the ball to my playmakers hands on short routes when no play action to open up the 2-3 times a game deep routes

I would say I am a West Coast styled offensive player. And I handle myself pretty well on "D." I like to think my defensive play is a lil above average. But I've gotten kinda rusty with not playing many games online(the cheeser population is growing too much) but hopefully I can enjoy a few games online with you sim ballers.

Talent makes a difference, but I am a person who believes that "system" is more important than personnel. That said, i don't have a particular team, but I use the Patriots Offensive playbook and that team's natural defense.

I try to have a balanced offense, but I am more pass heavy than run heavy. I don't run many plays formations or plays, but I run at least more than 1 play from each formation.

I play the clock. My goal is to get a lead in the game and milk the clock... much like professional NFL coaches would do.

Using the Seahawks I'm a West Coast Offense kinda guy as well...alot of short passes(used to be with Koren/D-Jax/Stevens,then DJ/Branch and now with Engram/Branch/Nate) I rarely take deep shots down the field but the ball is seriously spread around to everyone..FBs,HBs,TEs,WRs..anyone who runs a route is an option to get the ball which keeps everyone on their toes

Running the ball is more power(Not sure what to expect from Jones yet) not alot of bouncing it to the outside(Shaun wasnt too fast)...so I'm more 60-40 in terms of passing to running(No stranger to throwing 30x in a game)

On Defense I have more speed defenses so I use more zones and blitzes to create pressure and turnovers(I use the blitzers or the D-Line)

As a jacksonville user i Run alot and use hitches for my receivers. On defense i take control of the safety and since i have a good d-line and linebackers i rely on man coverage and blitz hard on third and long situations

I use my hometown Patriots and I like to establish the deep ball early from shotgun, going 90% pass the first drive. Hopefully this aggressiveness catches the D a little off gaurd and makes them think either I can't run the ball or I just won't.

2nd drive, also out of the shotgun, but with a ton of runs, draws, screens, and quick slants. The defense usually plays too soft in deep zones to adjust right away. Once they do, I'll pull a total 180 and only use the 1 or 2 WR sets to pound the rock over and over, then eventually finding Moss 1 on 1 deep.

So basically, after making my opponent think I'm all about the pass, I run it out of shotgun. When they adjust, just drop it down into a I form to pass it deep. I like to go one extreme or the other until the D is forced to change their play selection, hopefully to my advantage.

My first mission online every year is to get a win with every team. This way I see every offensive playbook and know each teams strengths. It also extends the life of the game in terms of playability for me. I always run the 3-4 on defense and prefer a West Coast offense but I can run anything depending on peronnel.

Im a dink and dunk kind of guy most of the time. I want positive yards on every run play and most of my passing is in the 5-20 yard range.

On defense, I live and die by the 3-4. It is the most versatile defense out there and by far is capable of giving the most looks and offers the widest variety of play. I always control a safety to either help on run, roam centerfield, or protect a slow corner--all depending on personnel.
