valdarez im having a blast with your sliders. lost 19-13 to the steelers just lost again 27-24 in OT vs the skins an im at 9-4 on the season so far. great work
Thanks man. I think I finally got the turnovers to be a bit more realistic. Weather conditions still throw them off, which is to be expected, just not to the extent I'm seeing. Not sure what can be done about it except weather the storm (pun intended!) in the rain/snow conditions.

On a side note. If you REALLY want a challenge try changing your playcalling to Beginner. I know... this sounds counter intuitive right? Beginner? That should be the easiest right? lol NOPE! In beginner you get 1 play to choose from. After the play is called you can't do anything except select a player. Try it. It will be a very tough/fun game on these slider settings. That's how I played my Cowboys / Green Bay game, and there was never more than a 5 point difference between us all game long, which for an 87 to 84 teams seemed about right.

Oh, and these sliders work well in 'Very Slow' mode as well, which allows you to enjoy more fluid animations.

Is there any change from Slow to Very Slow besides the speed? Does it mess up anything?

You're going to think this sounds crazy, but the only thing I have noticed is more penalties. A more realistic amount of penalties which is something that's been hard to get with the sliders. If you were playing on Slow, after a couple of games on very slow, you probably won't notice the difference. You'll just get to enjoy more fluid animations.

Re: NFL Simulation Sliders 1.0 from Valdarez (tuned for Slow Gameplay)

Hi I'm new on this forum. I'm from France.

I just used your NFL SIMULATION SLIDERS 1.0 and it result in a very good feeling.

I played New York Jets (me) vs. Atlanta Falcons.

The game stats was

Score: Jets 28 - 17 Falcons
Total Offense: 320 - 351
Rushing: 170 - 147
Passing: 150 -204
TO's: 0 - 4 (2ints and 2 Fumble recovered)
3rd Down Conversions: 5-13(38%) - 7-14(50%)

QUARTERBACK:
M.Sanchez 8/15 168y 3td 0int long 75y
M.Ryan 17/29 220 1td 2ints long 43y

RUSHING:
T.Jones 30carries 144y 4.8avg 0td long 43y
M.Turner 25carries 147y 5.8avg 1td long 75y

RECEIVING:
JETS got 6 different receivers
D.Keller 3rec 71y 1td
T.Jones 1rec 75y 1td
FALCONS got 9 different receivers
M.Jenkins 4rec 90y
B.Finneran 3rec 53y
E.Weems 2rec 15y

DEFENSE
Jets Highest tackles 6 (B.Scott + 1 Fumble recovered)
Falcons Highest tackles 5 (C.Lofton)

Jets got 3 sacks and Falcons 2
Jets D.Revis got 2int

The feeling of the game was great even if i cant find anything w/ Sanchez. M.Turner broke tackles like a beast and often get the open run after breaking 1 or 2 tackles. I used a lot of running and it results in a good mix of short yardage and 10-15y run. The CPU made 3 fumble by the 1st half 2 recovered by my team. And the 2int thrown by Ryan were ugly, each time the WR was covered by 2 guys.

I gonna keep looking for your update. I tried some other sliders from this forum but yours are the more realistic for the moment.

Thanks for posting your stats. There are two big problems with Madden 10 that I really wish they would patch. The first is the amount of blitzes, especially when the CPU falls behind. The second is the CPUs willingness to throw into coverage instead of taking the sack, tucking the ball and running, or simply throwing the ball away. The sliders are a great way to make the game more challenging / realistic, but there's only so much you can do with them. You can't fix fundamental issues that are broken with the game with sliders.

Going to keep a close eye on the CPU's rushing statistics and fumbles (which are a little easier to control). The last changes bumped the CPUs ability to run the ball. I tend to play the FS / LB and make a lot of manual tackles, which helps shut down the run.

Re: NFL Simulation Sliders 1.0 from Valdarez (tuned for Slow Gameplay)

Just played what has to be the most defensive oriented game yet in Madden 10. I never made it into the endzone, with my kicker hitting 5/6 shots, and the other team only scored on the last drive of the game, primarily because I was trying out the Dime 'Prevent' defense, which is anything but prevent. Was really hoping to get my first shut out, but at least I know that play's all but worthless now.

Please note I played the game on 'very slow' speed.

LAST GAME STATISTICS

3rd Season Game: Houston Texans (2-1) vs. Dallas Cowboys (2-1)

Penalties: 3-20 / 4-30
Possession Time: 19:58 / 40:02

QUARTERBACK
M. Schaub - 22/43(51%) for 223 yards 1 TD, 2 INTs, and 2 Sacks
J. Kitna - 6/19(31%) for 65 yards 0 TDs, 1 INT, and 1 Sacks
Tony Romo - 3/3(100%) for 43 yards 0 TD, 0 INT, and 2 Sacks

RUSHING

Re: NFL Simulation Sliders 1.0 from Valdarez (tuned for Slow Gameplay)

These sliders are tough to run with I haven't averaged over 2.3YPC in any game i've played. Still like the final stats and scores besides that though. Even put up a shutout with the Ravens against the niners last night, though i got TEN sacks. Trevor Pryce was one sack away from breaking Derrick Thomas' record for a single game. I wasn't controlling him either, i was Ray Lewis all game.

I haven't put in your updates yet though, I'll do that tonight.

I find it tough to run as well. I rarely have over a hundred yards, or average over 4 ypc. Really need some folks to test it out with some of the premier backs. I'm using Barber, so I'm not expecting spectacular numbers.

I noticed I failed to update the main thread's INT value yesterday for some reason. It's updated now, and the value is 0. Once you take it down, I think you'll find you have fairly realistic interception rates now. Still not quite happy with the fumble meter, but it's pretty close.

I know when I lost Romo in my last game, I could tell a HUGE difference between Romo and Kitna with these sliders. Kitna was down right horrible, and I pretty much stuck with short passes once I figured out he had trouble with the long pass.
