Only thing that worried me was that my defense had no sacks, no ints, nothing.

Overall, I'll stick with these... run a couple more games and see how it goes.
Awesome. Thanks for the feedback.

It's hard to get sacks to be realistic due to the QBs ability to throw the ball away while in the clutch of a defender. You should see a lot more lame duck passes though that are, for the most part, uncatchable by the offense. Patch #2 is supposed to address the QB's basically getting a free throw away when in the clutch of a defender, so the number of sacks should go up after the patch. It's set right now where the QBs basically get between 2 to 4 seconds in the pocket on average (with no blitzing). I can up that so the chance of sacks go up, but then I'm not sure if it will be as realistic, and I'm hesitant to try to address what is in effect a game bug with sliders. I only average 0 to 4 sacks per game. Usually Ware gets at least 1 sack every other game, sometimes two, which for the Cowboys is fairly realistic.

In my last game, I had 1 pick against Tom Brady. Prior to making the passing more difficult the most INTs I had in a game was three, which is still a little high, but ok if it's not every single game.

valdarez i started using the ask madden for all plays. lost my first game in a reaaalllyy long time and it was really nice to see. the score was 28-24 i had the lead late but asomugha missed a tackle and the cpu scored with 40 seconds left to win. my next game i won 24-21. thanks for the sliders these are really by far the best ive played with. i play with the raiders and jamarcus russel has 7 TDs 4 INTs through 6 games with a completion % of 63 and averaging 180 yards a game. i might reduce human QBA in my situation bc i think jamarcus russel is worse than these stats are giving him credit for. looking forward to using your new tweaked sliders

Let me know what you try out on the QBA, and the results and I'll give 'em a try to see how they work out with T. Romo.

I'm going to play another game later tonight. Any request on the teams. Want me to be a really bad team against a really good team? See how that works out...

Maybe reverse that. Be a top team vs a crap team... see if I beat on them?

Re: NFL Simulation Sliders 1.0 from Valdarez (tuned for Slow Gameplay)

Just finished playing the first game of my second season. I made several moves on my line. Moved Flozel Adams from Tackle to Guard (he went from an 86 to 91 instantly!), and then drafted several Rookies as backups in training. Of of which was lucky (diamond in the rough) who was a 73 to start, but with great srength/blocking awareness and good potential. He had to start because my RT broke his hip (he was old...) in a PreSeason game (darn those worthless preseason games!) and is out for the year.

Anyhow... played Cowboys against Eagles, and I lost in overtime! On the first pass of overtime none-the-less. Pass was deflected by defensive line, caught by another D-Lineman who ran it back for 6. Quickest overtime ever. heh

It's the slider settings posted in the first post of this thread. Kind of the entire purpose of thread.

Try 'em out.

Re: NFL Simulation Sliders 1.0 from Valdarez (tuned for Slow Gameplay)

How much time do you think we should have in the pocket? I have a pretty good feel for the sliders now and I know I can adjust it to pretty much any time length. Right now, it's set at about 2 to 5 seconds. I'm playing on some right now that are roughly 2 to 3.5 seconds, which definitely adds a more hectic nature to the passing game. I'm seeing DE's/DT's getting to the QB via moves more often this way as well. Just seems really fast for the speed of the game.

What do you think? How long should we have in the pocket?
