Re: Steeler99's Franchise Sliders

Steeler i use your run settings and PM's pass settings with Hardcore PB and 13 min with 15 sec runoff quarters. I also use madden plays only and i got to say your run settings are great if you don't try to follow the play if you do follow it then the hole is usually there and you can gain between 4-7 yards on a regular basis. I use the Colts so that might make a difference i also pass bout 45 times a game.. LOL just wanted to let ya know. Im also using these on Fast SPD since it looks like a real NFL game to me

Re: Steeler99's Franchise Sliders

I have played a few more games with these sliders, and I am loving them more and more as each game goes by. I am 4-2 with these sliders in my franchise. I am getting realistic scores in these games on 11 minutes with a 15 second run off. I have scored anywhere from 22 points to 37 points, and averaged around 350 yards per game. I definitely reccomend these sliders. They are challanging, and you have to work to score and stop the AI!

That's good to hear! I have to say I have been getting some great games with these as well ... and now that I've got a set of sliders I'm happy with I'm really looking forward to having that 2nd patch so I can get going with a new franchise!

Thanks for the feedback!

The only aspect that "should" be affected is QB sacks, but I think it will be a positive change. Per Ian's last twitter, patch #2 should make the cpu QB's hold onto the ball a bit longer, so less lame duck throws, and more sacks. This is a good thing imo, because I'm finding I get a pretty strong pass rush, it's just that the cpu QB's always manage to get rid of the ball as I hit them or even earlier.

Worst case scenario, we may have to back down the human pass rush, or increase the cpu pass block, but I'm guessing we'll be good where we're at right now.

I just wish EA would give us a best guess estimate on the patch release ......?

I am getting good pressure, just not getting the sack total, but that is totally to the QB not holding onto the ball long enough and should be fixed, but everything else is beautiful with these sliders. I am using Jukeman's sub in/out with these sliders with injury at 57 or 60.

I beat Seattle 35 to 7 in my last game, but trust me the score should have been a lot closer. They had 5 turnovers, but gained 400 yards, so it wasn't like i dominated them of any sort. They fumbled twice in my red zone and Matty boy threw 3 picks, 2 in the redzone and one near their goaline.

I am loving this game so much, you saved it for me. This and NHL 10 are by far the best games I have played all year!

Great to hear ... one thing I would keep a close eye on is cpu fumbles. If you feel you start to see an unrealistic amount, simply adjust the "fumble" slider up 5-10 clicks. I rarely, if ever use the hit stick so if anything I see less fumbles than I should, but for those that use hit stick I think that tends to cause cpu fumbles quite a bit?

Re: Steeler99's Franchise Sliders

Hey man decided to put Madden back in the 360 tonight and just played a wild and crazy game. It was a fun offense powered game that went back and forth the entire game. I started a franchise with the 49ers and beat the Cardinals by a score of 34-30.

It came down to the last drive of the game they were marching down the field and got the ball to midfield with 1:40 left to play in the 4th. They were facing a 4th and 2 and gave it to Wells on a run up the right side. I stopped him, the change gang came out and it was marked short. I took over on downs and kneeled the ball to win the game.

It all came down to defense for me. I gave up 24 points in the 1st half facing a 24-17 deficit. But when my defense needed to get a stop I got one only allowing 2 field goals the 2nd half. The key play in the game was when I was traling 30-27 in the 4th quarter. They attempted a field goal and I BLOCKED THE KICK!! I'VE NEVER DONE THAT BEFORE. The very next drive I marched down the field and took the lead.

It was a awesome game. Felt like real life. Not a whole lot of defense but a whole lot of offense. Here are some stats:

Smith: 14 / 25 329 yards, 2 TD 2 INT (1 was a pick 6)
Gore: 22 carries 158 yards, 7.1 ave, 1 TD, 1 fumble
Davis: 4 catches 124 yards
Crabtree: 3 catches 58 yards
Gore: 2 catches 75 yards 1 TD

Warner: 27-40 381 yards 1 TD, 1 INT
Wells: 11 carries 57 yards,
Hightower: 6 carries 13 yards
Fitzgerald: 7 catches 102 yards
Breaston: 8 catches 106 yards
Boldin: 6 catches 36 yards

All in all it was a fun game and I'll definately be playing a lot more Madden and less 2k10 with these sliders. The only complaint I have is the computer running game. But with Warner lighting up my secondary with 360+ yards in the air they didn't need to run the ball. I will play 3 0r 4 games before I mess with them.

Thanks for the sliders. Jon

Overall that actually sounds like a pretty realistic game ... even the run stats. Play several games before you make any adjustments because I've really seen a variety of results with some games being VERY defensive, and others having higher scores.

If you do find the cpu run game remains too weak for you, slowly tweak the human run defense (REACTION and/or BLOCK SHED) down to your liking. Start by dropping REACTION down to 10, then if you still need more, drop both of them by 1 click at a time. Hope that helps!

Before this game was like 2 fumbles in the previous 5 games, so I think it was just a bad game handling the rock for the Seahawks. I never use the hit stick, I always tackle with X.
