actually, i'll try one game with another team and another with henne at that same setting and see if i still like it at 12.
what number would you recommend setting the human int at? 20?
I have my HUM INT at 12 right now ... but If your saying you see too many HUM int's I'd say put it between 5-10.
As far as QB ACC, try one click at a time, but like I mentioned, play with another QB for a change of pace just to see the difference. We may find out that 12 is slightly too low, but I really felt 15 made passing too easy with most QB's, and if passing becomes easy, then winning becomes easy (at least for me). I really need to know that I have to earn my wins or games become dull quickly. I will play around with 13 and 14 for QB ACC as well and see which spot we find to be "just right"!
I'm playing with Edwards of the Bills right now and while I definitely see some VERY errant throws, I also see some very nice throws. Finding the right mix is what we're after, but let's make sure QB's like Jackson of the Vikes don't end up playing like Mcnabb of the Eagles if you know what I mean ...

I think you'll find 18 way too easy, but see what it does for you. 15 is the max QB ACC I would recommend this year.

I hear ya ... I was actually in Chicago the weekend Reed "gave" the game away, damn that sucked!!! Oh well, I have faith, Pitt will start winning again, unfortunately I think they will have to do it with the pass because their run game is clearly lacking?
They really need to find their next "BUS"!

according to the information at the bottom, it says to move the slider to the left to make it easier to stop opponent passes...wouldn't it be a higher number than 15? :-)
btw, you were right. i've only played a quarter with eli manning against the jets and i'm 9/9, 82 yards, 1 TD and with a 141.6 qb rating. :-)[Reply]

My buddy is a huge Bears fan and was there too, needless to say the text messages abused me:-) Hopefully Mendenhal will step it up and start running over people like he did at Illinois

Yea, that's the problem with QB ACC. It is extremely hard when you have a young or low-rated Qb, or have to play your back-up, but that's pretty realistic to the real NFL. I figure do most of the testing with an average to below average QB and make sure the game is still playable, and then when you draft, trade or develop a QB you can reap the rewards of a much stronger pass game (again realistic).
When it says move the slider to the left they are talking about the main slider, not the sub-sliders. The higher the number on sub-sliders the easier the game plays. What they did it that way ... I think just to confuse us!
By the way, I will move QB ACC to 13 for a game or two and see how that plays. I'm actually in the middle of making a few tweaks right now. On another note is teh HUM run game still going good for you? My last few games I have been getting completely shut down?

I was hanging out in the tail gate area of Soldier Field pre-game, and I couldn't believe it ... there were as many Steeler fans as there were Bear fans! Unfortunately they got the last laugh ... Damn kickers!

Well guys I didn't get much testing in tonight, but I did play a little bit.
First off I strongly feel that human QB ACC needs to be between 12-13. Any higher than that and completions are almost too automatic with any average Qb. Deagle, I played through several drives using Henne just to see how he is, and at 13 I had no problem completing numerous passes, although most were short ones. I will settle at either 12 or 13 when it's all said and done.
I'm still fiddling with the human run game because for whatever reason, I have NOT been able to get the run going in my last 3-4 games? Worst part is two of them were against the Chiefs which should not be one of the better run-stuffers. I used the Dolphins against the Steelers and got stuffed most of the way, but that;'s understandable. I've been doing most of my testing using the Bills so for tomorrow I will change things up and use a new "test" team ... maybe the Seahawks or Texans, again more of a average team.
In my current test set I've toned down the broken tackles for cpu RB's and boosted the human tackle defense a bit, and it feels much better imo.
How are you guys feeling with the human pass defense? Overall I'm pretty happy although sometimes I see too much hesitation on the part of pass coverage. Just curious what all of you are seeing. Certainly don't want to make human defense too strong because the cpu providing a challenge is as important as anything in the end.
All right I have to get some sleep ... test away if you have the time, I'd really like to have a final set by the end of this weekend or early next week so I can start my first "real" franchise soon!
When I post my final set I will list some ranges for specific sliders that others may still want to tweak for personal flavor.

CPU runs very well on these (especially page 1 sliders) and cpu pass game is strong as well, provided your opponent has a average to above average QB. You'll really notice the difference when you play a team with a bad QB ... MUCH easier to shut them down! (as it should be) Let me know your results ...
I had about 200 yards rushing and 150 yards passing on the eagles, 27 points in one half.
The eagles were able to run decently but I completely shut down the passing game.
I'm going to have to edit these to make them harder. 27-7 at the half.

Played my first game with the sliders from a couple days ago. I didn't write down stats, but it was a preseason game. I was my free agent only created team at the Texans. They won like 52-27 so I can't really judge a preseason game. There was a lot of big runs and yards after the catch seemed easy for the most part. Will try the changes in my game tonight against the Vikings.
