Using "My Sliders" to tune "Custom Sliders"?

I tried Custom sliders for a few weeks ... could not get the kind of realistic, competitive results I seek. I'm not looking for absolute realism, but I would like to be in the ballpark as far as team stats, and I want better teams to usually beat weaker teams. That seems reasonable to me, even in a video game.

I tried two controllers for a few weeks ... same problems. The key problem was that I could not get any kind of a running game going... I was averaging 2 yards per carry game after game after game after game after game ....

So I finally tried "My Madden", and I trust it .... sort of. I think it's a good base to work off, but I would still rather do my own fine-tuning of the sliders.

Question: have others tried this (using My Madden for a while, then transferring those setting over to Custom for tweaking of things like too many picks) and what is your feedback? To be specific, I had a great game last night ... beat the Giants 17-14 as the Steelers, and the game just "felt right." Now I'm thinking of taking those sliders (arrived at through My Madden) and transferring them over to Custom Sliders.

It almost feels to me like using "My Madden" results in better games, better play calling in particular by the CPU offense. Which makes no sense.

By the way, I tanked on purpose on the Madden Test during the offense rushing, because I'm really not very good at rushing but that drill is so ridiculously easy. In fact, you can just hit X and then just stand there with your runner, and it will still take the CPU quite a while to tackle you. Your runner will even make little juke moves without you even hitting a button ... try it and see!

I assume your talking about "My Skill & IQ" not My Madden. If so, below link has a bunch of info relating to My Skill.

IQ "Test" Franchise?

You'll find many that have tried My Skill/IQ say the same thing. The game just seems to play better. Run game is a bit difficult, but overall gameplay is much better than with custom sliders. Biggest problem imo is I win too many games? I'm getting ready to start a new franchise today as the Lions figuring they should be a difficult team to be successful with early on. We'll see how it goes .....
