CPU run game using dummy profile sliders by jdaniels et al

I am using some tweaked dummy profile sliders by jdaniels et al and I am very close to having a very good game stat wise and gameplay wise.

Here is the slider set I am currently using.

CPU SETTINGS(CUSTOM)
Passing 19
QB Accuracy: 0
Pass Blocking: 0
WR Catching:5

Rushing 7
Broken Tackles:65
Run Blocking: 100
Fumbles: 20

Pass Defense 7
Reaction Time: 85
Interceptions:10
Pass Rushing: 100

Rush Defense 13
Reaction Time: 60
Block Shedding: 15
Tackling: 25

Special Teams (UNIVERSAL) except for fg accuracy
FG Power: 33
FG Accuracy: 15(dummy) human(5)
Punt Power: 45
Punt Accuracy: 55
Kickoff Power: 47

HUMAN SETTINGS
Passing 19
QB Accuracy: 0
Pass Blocking: 0
WR Catching: 5
Rushing 9
Broken Tackles: 60
Run Blocking: 85 ( Increased to 85 to help human run game)
Fumbles: 20

Pass Defense 6
Reaction Time: 80
Interceptions: 30 (increased this slider based on recommendations made in original thread. Should make the cpu hold on to the ball longer and give more sacks)
Pass Rushing: 100

Rush Defense 18
Reaction Time: 0
Block Sheddin: 0
Tackling: 20

I increased the interception slider to get more sacks and qb pressure. I am still tweaking this slider but it seems to provide more sacks. I am in week 14 of my rams franchise and I have 29 sacks. 12 by LE Leonard Little and 12 by RE Chris Long. So that averages about 2 sacks a game which seems pretty realistic to me. CPU completion rate is a bit high. I would think it is about 65 % - 70 % avg which I can live with. Otherwise I like the flow and feel of the game. I have close games, some games I win pretty easy others I get blown away. Bottom line I am having alot of fun....

But my main problem and I really need to tweak this to complete the game.

I cannot get the cpu run game going. The cpu averages about 2 ypc sometimes higher but this will be the result of a single very long td run to pump the average up. I think the cpu attemps to run the ball and I think it averages over 20 attempts per game.

I do not consider myself an elite madden player I am rather casual but have played the game for many years.

Does anybody have some input into how I can improve the cpu run game?

Further I am having the same running problems as the cpu but I mainly attribute this to my bad o line (rams) and me learning the new run game...

Unfortunately I think we're stuck with the same CPU rush game we've had for the past ... oh, 10 years or more (except this year it's worse with no real CPU sliders). For whatever reason EA just can't seem to get this game tuned to allow for a competitive CPU run game? I think the root of the problem is horrible O-line and D-line interaction. Typically when one of my RB's gets stuffed in teh backfield I see one or more of my O-line members run right past a defender to find someone downfield to block? On the CPU side many times it seems the CPU RB just can't find the obvious holes and stutter steps around until a LB gets to him?

Against some of the "elite" RB's you will occasionaly see a good CPU run game, but at best it will be sporadic. I have my Run defense sliders at "all zero's"), so I can't make myself any weaker. I also have the CPU run block at 100 so other than turning the CPU RB into a super-human player (all 100's), there's really nothing else you can do.

Maybe that's why they tuned the CPU QB's to be so effective ... it's the only chance at having a reasonably good CPU offensive challenge? Hope for a completely revamped 2010 I guess ....... boy that sounds familiar!

EDIT: There have been a few posts stating that raising the CPU RB "fumble" slider boosts the CPU RB by making cpu less concerned about fumbling, but I'm guessing that's more wishful thinking? Put all CPU RB sliders at "100" and see what happens. My biggest concern there would be way too many broken tackles but maybe not this year???

Yeah I am keeping an eye on the fumble slider thing in the original dummy slider thread. I am not experiencing cpu fumbles with the current setting anyway so I might as well just try to increase the slider.

I am a bit reluctant about increasing the cpu break tackle slider as I am affraid that it would result in too many broken tackles by the cpu wr´s and they would hit the home run too often. But perhaps I will just have to live with that risk...

thx for the suggestions...
