Slider Suggestions?

Okay... so I'm looking for suggestions to help me adjust the CPU's passing game. Here are the sliders I'm currently playing with (in regards to the CPU's passing game):

Passing (Dummy Profile):

QB Accuracy: 10
Pass Blocking: 0
WR Catching: 5

Pass Defense (User Profile):

Reaction Time: 80
Interceptions: 60
Pass Rushing: 100

What I'm after is a more consistent pass rush from my defense... and for the CPU to throw less INT's against me.

I've bumped my interceptions all the way up to 60 as I've heard that helps you generate a pass rush... and I've noticed that... though the CPU seems to throw at least a couple of INT's against me a game.

The problem I have is when I'm getting pressure on the QB... instead of the CPU just taking the sack and losing say 3 yards for example... they'll throw off of their back foot instead... into say triple coverage... which I find pretty unrealistic as it seems as though the CPU would rather risk throwing an INT rather than just taking a sack.

So does anyone have any suggestions in which sliders I could adjust to somehow get the CPU to possibly hang onto the ball for longer and/or make better decisions with the ball?

Cheers.

Re: Slider Suggestions?

i've noticed if you just use your DT, but let the CPU control after the snap, the QB tends to hold onto the ball longer. If you control a LB let say, and go in for the blitz, robo QB shows up.

What I normally do is pick a DT or DE, then let the CPU control him after the snap. Now once a defender gets near the QB, I control said player and then sack.

I usually just play in coverage with my FS or something... than occassionally on passing downs... I'll control one of my DE's and try to beat the OT off the edge.

Anyways... thanks for the reply.

Any other suggestions are welcome.

Also, you might want to use defensive audibles every now and then to throw off robo QB. I get some sacks that way too.

Re: Slider Suggestions?

I don't really get robo QB honestly (where the QB becomes unstoppable and completes all of his passes). The CPU probably throws at about 60% against me which I'm happy with. It's just that the QB will force throws when under pressure just so he doesn't take a sack... even if it's off of his back foot into triple coverage. The only bit of robo QB I see is when he's avoiding pressure in the pocket. I'll have like 3 guys right on him... and he'll somehow maneuver himself in the pocket to get my rushers to run into his blockers... or he'll scramble one way into a pass rush... then quickly change direction and get rid of the ball. They do some pretty crazy things in the pocket sometimes when the pressures coming... though in terms of actually passing against me... it's not all that bad. As I said... they throw at about 60% against me I reckon... though they're all short completions. I just don't like the throws they force when under pressure. It's unrealistic to force a ball into coverage when the game is still close and risk a turnover... instead of just taking a 3 yard loss for example on a sack. They just make dumb decisions when under pressure.

Re: Slider Suggestions?

Also... the CPU's playcalling is awful. They run it on 3rd and long all the time for some reason... even when their running game just isn't working. Even when they're down in the 4th quater and they need to move the ball to have any chance of making a comeback... they'll run draw plays out of the shotgun formation for example.

Is there anything you can do to fix this... in either franchise mode or possibly in the sliders?

Cheers.
