I agree, it is kind of early to throw a 75 on him. I think basing that 80 (out of the box) rating off of the 5 interceptions he threw against Arizona is pretty... dumb. Jake Delhomme had more touchdowns than interceptions, threw 3200+ yards. 12-4 record. His running backs did help him a lot. I think Jake should have stuck with the 85. Right now, the way he is playing definately 78-81, I agree. 75? This guy only been 2 weeks in the season against the EAGLES and FALCONS. If anything, David Garrard should be rated lower than Jake.

Was this thread suppose to be a joke....I watch a ton of football bits of every game on Sunday and replay's thru the week, and Jake is bad, bad decision making, under throws, overthrows. I saw him throw at least 4 balls in the dirt on bubble screens. He deserved to be dropped until he picks it up. Mr. Moore did a great job on these ratings for sure, From Sabby Piscitelli being made part of the all short bus team, to Jay Ratliff getting a bump to an elite DT. These are bumps and drops you only see if you watch the game and see these guys in action. And for anyone who has see ole' Jake....his time has come and gone. 75 is good for now and it may not ever go up, if he can't do anything against Big D tonight he may need to be benched.

You know, I think you may be right about Delhomme making Steve Smith. Without Steve Smith having to make great catches on Delhomme's bad passes would he get noticed on SportsCenter? Delhomme is the Reggie Ball of the NFL. Throws terrible passes to athletic receivers.

first off Muhammad didnt run that streak route good, showing no hussle for that throw and Jenkins got the pick. Then Steve Smith did not fully run his route, Jake threw it where Steve was supposed to be but Newman capitilized on Steve Smith's mistake.

I have to say a couple off times I got confused tonight and thought that was Montana or Elway out there for the Panthers. Especially on that pick 6 that was definantly Hall of Fame worthy. Seriously though Delhomme was a solid QB in the past he was never on an elite leval though. I just think time and injuries have taken their toll and he has really fallen from solid to mediocre. Having said that I would much rather have him than JaMarcus Russell.

Agreed on the Newman INT. That was Smith's fault all day long.
Still, the streak to Muhammed just showed Delhomme doesn't have the arm for those throws anymore. Muhammed should've defended it better, but it was badly underthrown.

The pass to Muhammad was a bad pass by Delhomme. Muhammad ran that play exactly how you should. Delhomme should have put the ball to the outside shoulder of Muhammad. The pass was underthrown and to the inside shoulder. There was no way Muhammad could catch that ball or even break up the pass.
The INT on the Steve Smith play was also mostly the fault of Delhomme. Newman jumped the slant route. Smith did the smart thing and cut the route off to the outside. Delhomme has to read what the defense is doing. That ball is probably picked off even if Smith continues to run the slant.
