Wow...this is on of the funniest OPs that I've read.

Here's the one thing that really screws up your argument:
Is he right so far?
Besides, what are you going to do when they lose to Dallas this weekend? Turn off the TV and walk away and pretend like it never happened?

Just an FYI. The ratings reflect the real life performances. As a Panther fan, if his rating continues to drop, I don't think your biggest concern should be coming to a video game board to complain about his rating.

Why are you bothering to rationalize with him?

I have a real hard time thinking Delhomme is about as bad as JaMarcus Russell...
I mean Russell has completed a whooping 35% of his passes so far.
And yeah, I like the Raiders - but Russell...ugh.
If this performance is factored into his overall ratings, then I really question the validity/value of them.

One can't find receivers while the other throws to the wrong team. Both are bad right now but Russell has the better upside

Upside would be reflected in POT would it not? I believe Russell is a B and I imagine Delhomme is a C (can't tell since I'm in franchise mode)
OVR/ratings are supposed to reflect current ability, no?

First let me say I am a Panthers fan, but I also remain realistic and do not consider myself a homer...
Delhomme has had two horrible games that much I can't deny, but let me ask if its this way for Delhomme why not the say for Romo. Just hear me out (this is just an example based on things that HAVE happened). Week 16 vs the Eagles Romo had a game just as ugly as the game Delhomme had vs the Cards, we all remember the meltdown Romo had, win your in lose go home; needless to say he tanked. Rewind to this past Monday another subpar affair three picks in a home opener in the new stadium. Then you have former Cowboys stating Romo has done nothing in the NFL except have a decent reg season record, hasn't won a big game, hasn't won in the playoffs, and single handedly in the final game of the season cost his team a playoff berth...sound familiar? Atleast Delhomme has A)been to the Superbowl B)made a Pro-Bowl and C) won multiple playoff games all except for one Tony Romo has not done. My point is this, if you're going to DRASTICALLY decrease a players ratings based on two games then be fair ACROSS THE BOARD don't buy into media hype on ESPN, and journalists/experts who ride the curtails of whatever stories hot. To go more in depth why not make Delhomme a 75 overall in the original roster because of the playoff meltdown, why wait until a bad game vs the Eagles where his O-Line was offering NO PROTECTION? Same for Romo...but I'll say this since Romo is on America's team he will always get the benefit of the doubt, until he flutters an entire season.
IMO Jake's stats should read something like this...
SAC-84
MAC-75
DAC-low to mid 80's
AWR -mid 70's
Overall-78-81
Watching those games it was his awareness that caused the picks along with pressure...forcing balls into coverage has to do with lack of awareness not accuracy. Just my two cents. If not lower all QB's after bad games don't show them love because they're on a more popular team. Another example Jason Campbell, Redskins have done nothing yet he's a 77, Jamarcus Russell a 74 I'm sorry but more than one attribute point separates Delhomme and Jamarcus lets get that clear.
