Oh man, i just read this entire thread. So in essence, I thought Tampa Bay's offense looked better with Josh Johnson at QB, can we give Johnson an increase to like 93 ovr? I mean it's not his fault the other 21 starters suck more than him.

I don't think I've laughed this hard at a 27 page thread on OS in a while. <3 to 2Koalition for making me laugh today lol.

Re: Donny Moore is on my bad side..

I stand by what I have to say. Yes, I have already edited Jake Delhomme's attribiutes for offline play but for online play he is so terrible. Passes I could make with Drew Brees, Jake has a tendency to overthrow the recievers. I see a perfect pass but because of Jake's accuracy it just doesn't go where I want it to go. If anything, it should be the other way around. I should be able to make excellent passes with Jake, but the errors come with the terrible route running by the WRs. Steve Smith should have 75 Route Run. Muhsin Muhammad 62, Dwayne Jarrett 57, Kenneth Moore 65. Imagine Jake in New Orleans' offense system? Drew Brees' 5,000 yard season would be mediocre compared to the performance Jake would display.

I do not blame the wide receievers for running terrible routes, I blame the WR Coach and our offensive coordinator Jeff Davidson. His philosphy is aimed towards a ball control offense that involves running the ball. He has no sense for the passing game and look how terrible Jake has been doing since Dan Henning left.

I scratch my head, searching through the threads and cannot pinpoint the reason why everyone finds it to be hilarious. I am just another fan with another opinion, backing up one of the best players to take the grid-iron Jake Delhomme. I provide valid factual information to back up my claim, I never talk out of the rear. I am very straight-forward when it comes to talking and spawned 30 pages to keep this subject alive. If you get a kick out of it then you obviously shouldn't read this. It is for the serious armchair quarterbacks out there who play Madden. I say Jake Delhomme should have his 80 overall back and I also said he will be 85 overall in Madden 11. Panthers will be a playoff team, slowly as the Falcons are falling off. Carolina will destroy the Saints just like they did to the Cardinals.

Donny Moore, if you need someone to work on just the Panthers player ratings - you got me. I'll do it for free.

Re: Donny Moore is on my bad side..

Dude, you never give any real facts... just excuses. There are 10 QB's preforming better with a worse WR corps than Carolina That excuse is ridiculous. Take a step back, lay off the Delhomme Kool-Aid and look at it like a rational adult. Your excuses could be made for 15 other teams in the league and they all are performing better than your QB. There is a reason for that... Delhomme is terrible. His numbers arent a fluke or the product of a couple bad games. When something persists over 5,8,10 games then it is a trend and it is indicative of the players ACTUAL ABILITY. Your guy is a walking turnover. Face it.

Re: Donny Moore is on my bad side..

well then we'd have the panthers winning the super bowl every year in our franchises.

First off, when simming a season Jake Delhomme gets accurate stats. More ints than TDs which is what he will get this year.

Also did you seriously compare Delhomme to Brees? I understand you want to be an 80, but Brees is a friggen 99! Ofcourse Delhomme can't make throws Brees throws. Brees makes his recievers look good, NOT the other way around. Steve Smith has been making Delhomme look good for years now, and finally Smith is declining.

Please..please answer this question for me: How do you know the routes the wide recievers are running are incorrect? How do you know the original routes? How do you know they weren't option routes and Delhomme wasn't on the same page as his receivers? How do you know Delhomme just doesn't even know the routes? Oh and how come YOU think you know more than the Panthers OC, and Wide Receivers Coach? Have you ever coached football? The only complaint I have for the Panthers OC, is that they let Jake throw the ball instead of running the ball almost every play.

Every Panther fan I talk to wants DeAngelo Williams at QB instead of Jonathan Stewart haha. You are the only one too blind and stubborn to realize that Jake sucks.

Last week, they did just that

42 runs, 15 passes

What *objective* information do you have to show that he'd make 5,000 yds look mediocre?

I mean, I get you're a fan and all, but 5,000 yds would look mediocre?

Even if Jake was as good as Brees - he wouldn't do that.

I mean, what do you have to indicate that he would produce to that level and not just be a bit better? Carolina's receivers aren't so bad that they'd make a QB capable of doing what Drew Brees is doing and turning him into a 5 TD, 13 INT QB.

Re: Donny Moore is on my bad side..

Everything you say about Delhomme is based purely on conjecture.

You love to say "If Jake was in New England he'd do..." but have you ever stopped to think, for example, what Tom Brady would do if he were in Carolina? They'd immediately become a Super Bowl contender. If Peyton Manning qb'd the panthers they'd have 300 passing yards a game every game, easily. Drew Brees would have them at least 5 wins.

You say you go back and read these post and cant understand why everyone thinks you're a joke... seriously? Do you REALLY read the ridiculous things you say? Everything you say is based PURELY on super-fan opinion and NONE on actual facts or football knowledge. There's being a fan and then there's just being stubbornly blind to universal truths.

If Jake were in New England, they would not know how to lose a game. If Tom Brady were in Carolina, he would be throwing interception after interception because it is a run-type offense. Less passing more running and that means the OC is weak when it comes to going aerial down the field to Steve Smith (or Muhammad, Jarrett, Moore). The play-calling is flawed and not picked for the right situation. Jake Delhomme just hears it over the radio in his helmet and obeys and must run that stupid play and throw to the route but... Steve Smith doesn't run that route he likes to think he is hot crap and try to get open.

Steve Smith needs to realize he ain't ****. Yes, he is the best wide receiever in the game. 5' 9" low to the ground, excellent acceleration and agility. He has to be better than Larry Fitzgerald when it comes to Elusiveness, Vision, and Juking. Anyway, that is beside the point. Steve Smith needs to realize Jake has incredible accuracy and he doesn't need to try and get open. He can thread the needle into double coverage and have Smith catch the ball in traffic. Problem is, Steve Smith has no trust in his QB's ability. It was mentioned in that Monday Night game against Dallas, Steve Smith ran the wrong way and Newman jumped the route. Another incident with Muhsin Muhammad going slow up the field and Jake threw it deep... as soon as Muhammad saw it he then became jittery to try and take action and catch the ball. It is not Jake's fault. I am aware he threw 13 interceptions. He is still a great QB. Everyone has their bad days and I know when he throws 3 interceptions it is a bad day. He went up against very good defenses that are play-off contenders. Peyton Manning would be throwing those picks too. It is all about football. To quote Herm Edwards 'You play to win the game' and Jake does that, he tries to win every week. He cares about the team, he is the Team Captain. He has a responsibility for the team and is a great assest, but if the staff doesn't cooperate then he is going to faulter. No one has the heart, the determination, or the courage that Jake Delhomme has.

I think Jake should be raised to an 80 overall, and I think the defenses he played against should get a drastic increase because they outplayed the Panthers offense. No, I am not saying base the teams off of when they play Carolina - but use it as an example.

Re: Donny Moore is on my bad side..

I'm gonna start a chise as Carolina, just to cut Del-homie, and sign Chase Daniel, or DJ Shockley...win a superbowl...cuz thats what Carolina should do in real life.

Delhomme = a less mobile, more pale version of JaMarcus Russell
