• Jamaal Charles has "promised" head coach Todd Haley he will never fumble again. "It ain't going to happen," Charles said. "I know how important it is to avoid those kinds of mistakes."

• Larry Johnson said 2009 will be his last season as a Chief. "I'm going to finish out this season and look for opportunities elsewhere," Johnson said. "It's time for me to change things up a bit."

• QB Matt Cassel said he has worked all week on checking down and not forcing passes. "I've been trying to hard to make plays the last couple weeks and it's really cost my team," Cassel said. "Pittsburgh's D is too good to give them chances for interceptions. We've got to play smart this week."
