Bears Win. Vasher comes up Big.

San Fransisco- Bears' Nathan Vasher comes up with two picks and a fumble recovery to help Bears defeat 49ers 24-19.

The game's scoring started off with a Matt Forte one yard scamper following a Vasher INT.
The 49ers answered right back with a TD of their, Frank Gore doing the honors.

On the ensuing kickoff, for the third straight week Hester struck again, 79 yards from a squib kick.

A fg by Nedney made the score 14-10, before Vasher got his second pick, returning this one for six points.

A V.Davis 18 Yd pass from S.Hill in the 3rd quarter made the score 21-16. A Robbie Gould fg made the lead 8 for the Bears. The key play of the game came on a 4th and 2 for the 49ers in the redzone. A false start penalty forced them to get the 3 points.

After a defensive stop, the 49ers took control with a chance to win starting at the 9 yards line. They quickly drove down, getting into Bears territory. A big hit by Bears safety Josh Bullocks forced a fumble and Vasher was their to recover, game over.

The Bears go to 6-3 and the 49ers drop to 5-4. Bears next play the Eagles, while the 49ers go to Green Bay.

Jets tame the Jags at home 34-10.

Jets put together their best game of the season hammering the visiting Jags from the 1st quarter on.

Turnovers played a key role in the loss, as the often scrambling(err everysnap, except 11 says JD), and playaction happy offense turned the ball over 4 times in the loss. The biggest turnover was a 70 yard plus pick six for Derrelle Revis.

Mark Sanchez earned player of the game honours with a 17-27, 217 yds 2 TD 1 INT and 1 Rushing TD.

Re: Week 10 Results

The Pittsburgh Steelers defeat the Bengals in dramatic fashion, scoring on an 8-yard TD pass from Big Ben to Limas Sweed on the last play of the game to win 24-21. Both teams are now tied at the top of the AFC North at 6-3.

Unfortunately the highlight of the final play was not cut off by EA, so no footage is available.

The game was a defensive struggle, as neither team could get anything going until the very end. The Steelers were ahead 17-6 at the half, but two 2nd half turnovers allowed the Bengals back into the game. After scoring a touchdown to cut the lead to 17-15, the Steelers managed a huge stop on the 2 point conversion.

However, the Bengals marched 70 yards on there next possession to score the go ahead TD with 3:16 remaining. The Steelers then had their only productive drive of the 2nd half, starting the winning TD drive from their own 26. They had to convert a 3rd and 17 as well on the drive, leading to the final big play.

Up next for the Steelers is a road game at KC, while the Bengals travel to Oakland.

Rams Win in a Shootout

RAMS- 48
SAINTS- 35

St. Louis, MO- The Rams busted out of the gate against the New Orleans Saints with a 100 yard Opening Kickoff return by Donnie Avery for a TD, his first of two returns on the day. Turnovers played a key role in the final outcome with a combined 8 turnovers for both teams (6 for NO and 2 for STL). Steven Jackson was held in check most of the game but finally busted out and produced a 77 yard touchdown run in the 4th quarter.

The Saints ran all over the Rams D, racking up a total of 127 yards and 2 scores on just 14 carries. The problem was that they were forced to pass and pass a lot when down by so much. 5 picks along with 2 Tds and 378 yards rounded up the day for Drew Brees.

Next Week:
ARI @ STL
NO @ TB

Good game and good luck the rest of the way!

Re: Week 10 Results

WHAT!!! Redskins Win Following Epic Collapse and Frantic Comeback.

London Fletcher thanks fans for support following a raucous 4th quarter

Landover, MD They were parting in the stands at the starts of the 4th quarter a comfortable 31-7 lead a defense that had been lights out forcing 7 turnovers, despite an offense that looked in a word putrid. Then it happened. The unfathomable, the unthinkable, the impossible. Yes, the Denver Broncos mounted a come back in the 4th quarter that would give them the lead over the Washington Redskins as the game wore down. Players were in shock, fans stunned into utter silence. Then in the blink of an eye Santana Moss found some space and made a move and FedEx was rocking again, game saved, season potentially saved. Following Kyle Orton's 5th interception and the Broncos 8th turnover of the game the fans would let out a breath that I'm sure could be heard all the way at the White House.

Don't put it on the defense. The Redskins defense did it's job surrendering just 13 points in 4 quarters of work. The swarming, ball hawking defense forced 8 turnovers (5 ints, 3 fumbles.) The defense also scored 21 of 37 Redskins points. Laron Landry was all over the field forcing 1 fumble, intercepting a pass (and scoring on the return), he also collected 5 tackles many of the bone jarring variety. DeAngelo Hall, also intercepted 2 passes and forced a fumble. Despite being on the field for 26:25 the skins only gave up 278 yards of total offense. The problem for the skins was the offense specifically Jason Campbell. For the first time all season Campbell looked frustrated and flustered. His numbers showed that. 8 of 22 184 yards 1 TD and 6 ints. Asked why he stuck with Campbell despite his poor numbers, Coach Zorn said. "I was afraid of what Collins would do." Despite his worst game as a pro, Campbell was able to do just enough to get the win and wasn't shy about who should get the credit. "Let's be honest." he would say "The Defense and Santana Moss won this game. I threw Santana a screen and he did the rest with an assist to Malcolm on the block. You could've grabbed any fan in the stands and they could've made that throw."

The visiting Broncos who left the field obviously upset with the loss, held their head high, as they left 32 unanswered points had them in the right position for the upset win, but a defensive lapse left them leaving Maryland with their 6th loss of the year. The Broncos defense stepped up huge in the 4th quarter. Following the Hillis score to make the game 31-14 Skins, Brian Dawkins returned an interception 44 yards for a score. 14 seconds later former Redskin Champ Bailey did the same from 25 yards out. With the game close at 27-31 and the skins on the 2 yard line the unthinkable happened. Campbell looking to make a play to get his team out it's own goal line, facing a corner blitz threw to his hot read, a second too late and Dawkins caught the ball at the 9 and took it in for the score and the lead. The Broncos had fought past Orton's 5 ints, 2 Eddie Royal Fumbles, 1 Knowshon Moreno Fumble to shut the hostile 92,000 in attendance up.

Following a skins punt late in the game, the Broncos who had forced the skins to use 2 of their 3 time outs face a 3rd and 10. On a pass to Daniel Graham who appeared to have the game sealing first down until he was hit and fumbled that ball, the Broncos would recover, but would be faced with a 4th and inches from near mid-field, the Broncos made a decision that would haunt them. Instead of going for the 1st down to ice the game Denver punted that ball to the skins who would take over at the 20 with under 1:30 left. That turned out to be more then enough time, on the first play from scrimmage Campbell got the ball into Moss' hands and the rest is history. Moss would finish with 5 receptions for 134 yards.

Notes: Kyle Orton was 22 of 37 for 239 yds and 2 second half scores. Clinton Portis carried the ball 18 times for 70 yards.

The Redskins will face the Cowboys next week while Denver host rival San Diego in an AFC West Showdown.

Highlights:

Dawkins gives Denver the lead!

Moss Takes it Back!
