Players using 0WR Formation with Vikings?!?!??

I cant be the only person that has been burned with this. I've had players online that have used the vikings and Adrian Peterson and run out of this formation (Goal Line I think), and burned me for at least 250+ yards in the first half. I've lost to this twice. Adrian Peterson runs to the outside every play and its just him and a corner and maybe the safety to stop him. I've tried every defense from a Quarter (and blitzed the CB's) to a zone where the corners are supposed to stay put. Nothing seems to work. At the snap, my entire defense runs toward the center of the line, leaving AP to run free outside and i've had players run this play every play (AP_28_STOP_EM) to the tune of at least 15 yards per pop. Now I'm no slouch on Madden (been playing for years PSN ID: Lhova), but anybody that has had success stopping this formation let me know what tips you have.

I played some loser that did this with Pittsburgh every single play of the first drive of the game. No huddled every single play and ran the weak counter out of goalline and motioned the TE to the side he was going to run to.

I've found that blitzing isn't the best thing against this. I try to run the dollar D, 3-4, or quarter D and slant my DL to the side he is running towards and control the safety to keep contain. And I ALWAYS use man when I want to stop the run, zone doesn't work.

It is really frustrating but if you can keep them to 3-4 yards a pop they usually give up on it.

Jam Man--5 DL man coverage and a SS in deep blue zone. Loop the line (not physically spread, just the line shift up), back off the DBs, manually play the SS.

Truthfuly, though, most all of the goal line plays can contain this set.

And I understand your point but I'd also argue that your missing out on one of the absolute best features of sports games which is online human competition. Use the 'quick match' feature instead of lobbies and only a small fraction of your games are with people using one dimensional tactics like this. Most of my games are competitive and alot of fun online.

Online sports is the best part of having the console to begin with. If you're not playing online, you're missing out a ton.
