NHL2K10 vs NHL10

so i am looking to get a hockey game for the first time since 03 lol yeah i know but i finally got interested in hockey again....

none of my friends play nhl games so i would guess i wouldnt be playing online.... maybe i can start a franchise or something i dont know.....

which game is better gameplay?? i keep hearing mixed reviews for both games for the person with both games can you give a insight?

i also went to gamerankings.com and saw nhl10 with much better avg of reviews it got a 88 % compared to a 70% from 2k

I would suggest NHL10 personally.
The gap is getting closer but 2K10 doesn't play well out of the box and NHL10 is far more polished.
I also prefer the controls AND control of NHL10 over 2K10.

As far as gameplay, there are things that both do better than the other.

for me its not even close NHL10 as its just so much more polished .
But try reading reviews by OS on both.

This year you can think of the NHL francises as of girls.
NHL 10 is the girl you want to show your friends and your parents cause she allways behaves in a predictable manner, has good taste and...yeah a pretty stable girl for a pretty stable relationship.

Nhl2k10 is more of an alternative girl. Own mindset, rough, unpolished. Maybe not the best looking, and not like the NHL10 girl no1 on the cheerleaders but with brains.

I like the control, gameplay and some franchise features of NHL 10 far better (scouting, trading during the draft). Unfortunately, where NHL 10 falls short, it REALLY falls short. The sim engine in NHL 10 is terrible (Crosby and Malkin do not accumulate more than 70-80 points a year, odd [perhaps totally random] season results). Worse, NHL 10 is unstable in offline franchise (what they call Be A GM mode). I am suffering through frequent freezes with it and getting very frustrated.

I don't why people are having so much "Freezing" issues. I've never froze from trying to load a game or going through free agents, etc. I've froze once just in the main menu from being in the OTP lobby too long buts that about it. So as to why people's games are freezing too much, I have clue.

This may be your personal opinion but hey, egocentrism is pretty spread. You don't need to accept other peoples opinions. This would just cost you to much time you could waste otherwise.
