I have it turned off...I'll turn trading back on for short periods of time and a week or so before the deadline.
I'll start posting short little summaries per your request...its a good idea.

Bruins Stonewall Blues Despite St. Louis Onslaught
The red hot Boston Bruins escaped the St. Louis Blues tonight by a 4-2 score on the strength of two power play goals and an acrobatic performance by Tim Thomas who made 38 saves as the Blues outshot the Bruins 40-23. TJ Oshie scored twice in the loss. Also fatal to the Blues was the powerplay which went 0/6 on the night.
The Stars would tie the game at 4 late in the 3rd period before winning in a shootout as they move to 14-7-3, making an early season push for the best record in the West. David Perron scored just his 2nd goal in 22 games this season while Andy McDonald registered three points in the loss.
The slumping St. Louis Blues were torched for three third period goals as the Nashville Predators rallied for just their 8th win of the season. The Blues, with the loss, are now winless in their last four games heading into a showdown with Detroit.
The St. Louis Blues snapped a four game winless streak and David Perron scored twice after registering just two goals in his first 23 games. Chris Mason, whose job is on the line, showed signs of life stopping 28 of 29 shots and TJ Oshie tallied his 11th goal of the season as he is quickly closing in on a new career high as he scored 14 goals in 57 games last season. Chris Osgood was pulled after the Blues scored their fourth goal, stopping 20 of 24 shots.
The Columbus Blue Jackets are setting a impressive pace to open the 09-10 season. The Blue Jackets were able to shut the Blues down in a 2-1 victory only allowing St. Louis 14 shots. Brassard would get the game-winning goal in the third period while Roman Polak would get the lone tally, a shorthanded goal for the Blues in the defeat.
I see Hitchcock is trapping his way to the top of the league yet again. :-) Gotta chip 'n chase against the trap, OBG, or you're playing right into their hands...

I didn't have too much trouble getting into the zone...just couldn't get much rubber on net. Poor cycling and closed shooting lanes from the point...
In a nasty 10-2 blowout at the hands of the San Jose Sharks, the St. Louis Blues would rack up 73 penalty minutes-48 in the second period alone-as the two teams would combine for 128 minutes in the sin bin on the night. The Sharks were led offensively by Joe Thornton who would rack up a 1 goal and 3 assists while Devon Setoguchi and Mike Grier would each tally twice in the 10-2 route. Chris Mason is officially on the hot seat as he was pulled after allowing 4 goals in the first 11 minutes of the first period. The Blues in effort to make the Sharks pay for their bravadic domination, injured both Devon Setoguchi and Ryan Clowe for 1-2 weeks.

After an humiliating 10-2 loss to the San Jose Sharks, the St. Louis Blues rebounded in style blowing out the hapless Los Angeles Kings while being led by 1 goal and 2 assists from both Paul Kariya and David Backes. Ty Conklin was solid stopping 17 of 19 shots as he is making a major push to take over the #1 goaltending position as Chris Masons inconsistency has cost him the confidence of his team and the favor of head coach Andy Murray.
Ty Conklin stopped 27 of 28 Colorado shots as the St. Louis Blues rolled to a 4-1 win returning from a forgettable West Coast Swing in which they were dealt an unforgettable 10-2 loss by the San Jose Sharks. Keith Tkachuk would score twice in the contest while Patrik Berglund would add an empty net goal and an assist as he continues to have a solid campaign on the second line.
Ty Conklin has out performed Mason considerably in the last couple weeks as seen by the following numbers
Conklins last 168 Minutes: 3.21 GAA, .900 SV% Masons last 251 Minutes: 3.59 GAA, .872 SV%
