Oh yeah, its also a possible video BAP, I'm on the fence.

Re: The Career of Alex Harrison 2ND TRY: (NHL 09 be a pro)

"Huh, what!" Well, I did it again, for this past week I couldn't sleep at all waking up at exactly 4:30 am again and again.

Today was early June 20th, 2008. The day of the Draft.

I just could not fall asleep and I stayed up all night playing NHL 08 with the Blackhawks and Patrick Kane. I sure wish I was him, he was drafted first overall last year! I first knew about hockey in my sophmore year of high school. I was born in California so hockey was barely even played around here, all they cared about was football or basketball. Well what was I supposed to do, my parents were both masters at hockey, and they were born in Canada.

I shot with Patrick Kane, he scored! Anyway, my parents never told me about their hockey talent until I actually asked them. My dad played for the Ontario Hockey Association, way back before the OHL formed. He told me he was a star and in one year scored 60 goals. He was projected to go 1st round but bam! he got into a car crash and blew out his leg. Never came back to hockey again.

Well, I decided I should play hockey because it was within the family. So, I tried out for the team which had like 15 players and I was a shoe-in. I was so good, that I started on the varsity, before even playing a game in the Junior Varsity. There was only about 5 teams in all of California so sometimes we had to play in Nevada, Oregon, and even Washington. The other fans thought it was crazy having a Californian team play in Washington, but I thought it was fun traveling around.

My first year I score 21 goals but had a whopping 73 assists. Our team was terrible and we only won like 19 games. My second year, we were still god awful, but I scored 45 goals and 65 assists. This year, our team made it to state finals but we lost first round to some team in Bakersfield. On a rough check during the season, I got my hamstring taken out, and I missed 10 games.

I knew that a team would never draft a kid with only 20 goals and 41 assists in their year of coming out. Well, I lost in NHL 08 again, 9-1, while Kyle Turris and the Coyotes beat me. Until the draft, looks like I'm going to fall apart.

Re: The Career of Alex Harrison 2ND TRY: (NHL 09 be a pro)

It's time. I promised to myself I would only see the 1st round today. Besides I would never get drafted in the 1st. Gary Bettman came up to the podium and announced the 1st pick. "The Tampa Bay Lightning select... Steven Stamkos." Yeah he was a total beast. Not too many players came out of high school. most from different leagues such as the OHL, Elitserien places like that.

Oh, I just couldn't take it so I just went outside and decided I'd take a walk. If I was never to be drafted, what would I do? My education was a mess and I never applied for a college since I was hoping I'd get drafted. Looks like I'm going to one of those crappy junior colleges.

I didn't know what to do, I think I walked around my neighborhood for like 3 hours. When I came back home, the 2nd round was over. They showed the overview of the draft and nobody had chosen me. Well, I actually watched the whole 3rd round and still no hear of my name. I decided that it was late enough and I should fall asleep. Maybe, I still have until tommorrow. Oh, well.

"Today, the second day of the draft, rounds 4-7 will commence now" blurted to announcer on TV. I changed my mind, today I there was a party at my friend's house so I decided to blow of the draft and just have fun at the party.

I have to tell you, I almost never forgot about the draft when I was there. I actually had a chance to dance with some hot girl, but I was too busy thinking about the draft that she just went to dance with some other guy. 2 hours passed by quickly and I was getting quite nervous. The party for me, was just a place to worry more about it. I couldn't take it anymore so I just drove home.

Then my cellphone rang, "Hello," I said glumly. "Yeah, is the Harrison? Alex Harrison?" "Yeah, thats my name, don't wear it out!" "Jeez, kid I've got some exciting news for you and your not in the mood?" "Anyway, I am Michael Terrace, I go to some junior hockey games around the US and I am like to land some young talent"

"Mmm,hmm," I said with a curious tone. " I've been informed, you have been drafted by the Thrashers on their 154th pick." "Wait WHAT!" "Congratulations, you are now a part of Atlanta organization" "Wait, but.." "Sorry, got to run, its crazy here" I stopped the car abruptly in some McDonald's. Did I really get drafted? And was that some real dude calling me, or is he a phony? I drove home as fast as I can, and looked it up on the computer. Round 6, Pick # 154: Alex Harrison, Atlanta Thrashers. Today, was the best day of my life.

I still could hardly believe it. I really got drafted! I checked today morning and it was still there! Michael Terrace wasn't kidding.

When I woke up, my mom and dad cheered me just like they always do, when I I do something good. I was an only child, so I guess that was alright. "Wow, only 3 years of hockey and my boy is already a part of the majors!" "Now, dad, I hardly think they will put my right into the NHL" I said. "It took me 12 years to master hockey!" said my dad. "Alright, dad" I moaned. I know its good to encourage your son, but I have a feeling he was going to tell everyone he knows.

The phone rang. "Hello," I said. "Yes, is this Alex Harrison I am speaking to?" "Yes, sir," I proudly beamed. "Hi, my name is Don Waddell, the GM of the Thrashers" My mouth froze. "Ahhhh, hello Mr. Waddell.." "Please, just call me Don. Well as you probably know, you have been drafted to our organization. Now, our Chicago Wolves affiliate has decided to put you on their team, as we don't think you are ready for the the NHL just yet." "Don, I totally understand." "I realize that you have an injury, has it been fully healed?" "Yes, I had some rehab here in California." "Good, the AHL season does not commence until October, but we want you to get settled in Chicago and work with the team so you guys can familiarize each other."

"Okay"

"Well, I guess that is all, I will give you the number for the Wolves commission. I doubt you will ever need to call them because they are excited to meet you." "Have a nice day, and welcome to the Thrashers organization."

"Thank you sir."

"What's going to happen?" my mom said. "I'm not sure yet, but I can't wait!"
