Lets be honest my shootout goal was luck. I thought I could go forehand backhand forehand backhand and a goal. Well Cory Crawford had other plans as he poked it on the second forehand move,but he got unlucky when he pulled his stick back as the puck hit his stick went five hole and squeaked into the goal.

We beat Rockford, the best team, or should I say second best team in the AHL now with the score of 2-1 in a shootout.

I scored our only regulation goal by a slick side move that faked out Crawford and the hole left side of the net was open.

After the game Coach Williams called me in to discuss something

"Well how was your first shootout?"

"Um, it was fun but my goal was ugly."

"Yes it was, thats why in practice I want you,Filatov,York, and McDonald to work on shootout moves and shots. You guys will do this for 30 minutes after practice."

Oh how fun, 30 extra minutes of practice.

When I walked into Craig and I's apartment he stopped to tell me something.

"Good game kid, Your the reason our team is undefeated and for that I want to give you an award."

This didn't sound good

"Whats that Craig?"

"Your reward is picking up my hockey bag, bring it up here so I can grab my skates to sharpen them. Than bring it all the way to the basment to the trainers to wash them."

"Why don't I just give the trainers your bag then grab your skates before I give it to them?"

"Two reasons, One your a small and you need to build up some muscle. Two I don't want your rookie hands all over my skates. Now do what I asked you too."

"Fine."

I was about to get out of the room before he said

"Take the stairs. I have Derek Dorsett and John Sigalet guarding the elevators."

"Whatever."

As I got his bag I remember I had to get my bag too.

Great two heavy stinky hockey bags to carry up seven flights of stairs. this will be fun.

I am already tired enough from the game tonight against Rockford.

The worst part is, we have a game against Chicago tomorrow.

Half way up the stairs I hear a familiar voice say

"Welcome to the AHL Quickel. Get him."

Uh oh
