What horsesh** is this? I'm halfway through my second round at Pebble beach where I have to be paired with Tiger to get to #1 in the rankings and OMG. I play on tournament difficulty with no green grid and no caddy, no cheats basically. Conditions are tough and I'm -3 and in second place to Tiger... who after shooting a -11 on day one is now -18 after the front nine of day two.

Isn't this a simulation game? I don't remember Tiger EVER shooting a -11 in one round let alone a -7 on the front nine for day two. This game is built for casuals no matter what we do with the settings. I don't want to power up my spin or have green grids or have infinite forgiveness on my swings, and I don't want to play against CPU Tiger on the most difficult setting possible and have him play the course like it's putt putt mini golf.

This needs to be fixed for 14. I'm so disgusted right now. He doesn't miss anything. Not at all realistic.

To update, he just holed out from 150 from the rough on #12 for an eagle. He's at -21.

I was enjoying this game a lot until this tournament.

UPDATE: So I finished in 9th place at -1. Had a tough 3rd round when Tiger started the day in 1st by 22 shots and was paired with me in the 4th to last group. COME ON!

I pulled it together in the final round to get back under par. Second place to Tiger's ridiculous -42 was -4. After the tournament I was informed I had taken the world #1 ranking, even though Tiger just beat me by 41 strokes. HOW????

I'm incredibly surprised that nobody else has anything to say about this. Doesn't this frustrate you to no end? I LOVED this game up until this last tournament, and now I see it as a HUGE joke.

Yes, I'll continue playing, because I truly enjoy the gameplay and can forgive most of the bugs, but this isn't a bug. It's a massive design flaw.

Doug,

I played Tiger for #1 in Tournament mode with green grids off.... difficulty was on normal... 1 Rd however .... That could make the difference as I only shot a -10 and beat him by 2 strokes... He did hole out once, but missed putts from lengthy distances to keep me in it until I birdied the last 3 holes.... If you have the AI above normal, I would definitely adjust that, but it sounds like you do so I don't know what to tell ya....

Agreed... Its dumb.. especially when you are playing Tournament mode....

I played TIger and the CPU made him eagle all par 4's & 5's, and ace all par 3's in the scorecard, even though he only made birdies and bogies the entire round

Yea, doug, I had the same thing happen. I had to play Tiger and he shot some incredible numbers at Blackwolf Run. I hung with him for the first round but it it was too much. Same thing happened to me, after the tournament I was #1 and he was #2. It stayed that way for a couple more tournaments, but I butchered them and fell back to #2 and Tiger was #1 and I had to go through that song and dance another time.

It certainly is a design flaw, kind of like on NCAA 13. I played a Washington dynasty season and lost to USC, one of three losses for me. Somehow, USC did not make the PAC-12 final, which I won by beating Utah. I had a 10-3 record after that with a loss to USC who was 11-1 and passed them in final rankings. First, I should not have played in the BCS national championship game with three losses, second I should not have passed USC in the standings with two more losses.

Silly stuff like this drives me crazy about the EA games. So many positives, but things like this, and your example, make no sense.
