Had no idea the wind was so much of an issue until as of late. How in the heck can EA not attempt to address this???

Re: This wind is getting ridiculous

What frustrates me with the wind is how it blows inconsistently from hole to hole in terms of direction. After playing these course I understand the layouts of the courses but it makes no sense to me how two holes going in the same direction have two complete opposite wind directions. This is something that takes away from the realism for sure.

Nothing irritates me more than that... struggling to play a hole into the wind, then you know the next hole comes back the opposite direction and it should be at your back and you should be able to catch a break... then all of a sudden you get to the tee box, and the wind has pulled a 360, and is in your face again.

So I'm playing in Dubai and it's raining cats and dogs with 20mph+ winds. I really regret buying this game now because the weather is so broken.

Well here's some good news for a change. Apparently a dev stated this week that there will be another patch and live weather in career mode will be fixed so just hang on for another couple of weeks. While there are still alot of bugs in this game and I'm sure the patch won't be fixing all of them, at least career mode will become much more playable. To me this is the most important fix I want but then again I've been lucky not to have any freezing issues so far.

Just use your calm the winds pins for now to combat the freaky winds somewhat although I played a career tourney that had it at windy and I was still getting 20 mph wind (guess that's better than 30mph wind I would have gotten had I not used the pin) even after using the pin. I find having to deal with rain every 3rd round even more annoying than the winds because the course plays like glue with any rain.

I hate the way the ball lands on the green in the rain and just loops up in the air and lands almost on the spot - every time! So unrealistic.

Thanks for the info about the patch. The freaky weather in career mode needs to be fixed asap.

Where did you hear that as a matter of interest? I don't see any mention of it on the EA forum. Like you, I'm not getting any freezing on my ps3. I think it must be more of an xbox problem. Whatever, it certainly deserves to be the number one priority for a fix. Disgraceful to release a game that keeps locking up on many of its users. I hope you're right about the weather fix and, the more I play the game, I hope they tweak the driving to make it a bit harder off the tee. Waaay too easy at the moment. I can just wind up and hit, even with overswing, without any worries about missing the fairway. If it's not patched I think it's the part of the game that is going to make me lose interest soonest - which would be a shame because I'm enjoying the new tempo swing closer to the greens where I do have to think a bit.

Its on page 2 under the "if the devs are still around" thread. I know its pretty silly for the devs not to create a stand alone thread to inform us that there will be a patch but I guess they won't officially release anything until its been certified but Camlee actually responded in that thread of a few things that will be fixed and live weather in career mode is one of them.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like much else of substance will be fixed. He did mention the freezing issues being addressed but that's always a hit and miss. As for increasing the sensitivity of the joystick I wouldn't bet on it as that would probably take more work than they wanna do and rob them of a TW14 feature.

As a workaround, lower the accuracy of your CAG to the minimum 35 and on tourney setting you should find it more difficult keeping it straight on an over swing.

Thanks, Seymour, I've found the thread now. Thanks for the workaround tip as well.
