Amount of XPs earned related to XBox Live membership?

Hi,
Maybe you can help me:

I like playing TW13 against my best friend directly on my Xbox (not online). We are pretty close skillwise, but after having played more than five courses against each other he only gets about half the XP per round I get. This is pretty annoying, especially to him

Anyway, could this have something to do with the fact that I (as owner of the XBox) am connected to the EA servers via my XBox Live Gold membership whereas my friend isn't?
This wasn't a problem when playing TW12.
Any ideas? Thanks!

My buddy and I were playing with our created golfers today and passing the controller back and forth. Same thing here. I get about double xp for my guy.

"Good" to hear - at least it doesn't seem to be a corrupted file or something like that on my XBox.
Is this a bug or somehow intentioned by EA?
