I know that's not supposed to be Tiger Woods is it?

Do they even invite him to mo-cap anymore? That swing looks nothing like his and his player likeness gets worse and worse every year. They really need to reboot this series, or let someone else make it.

Can anyone honestly sit here and say they want to play as a child Tiger Woods? Seriously. Tired of all the gimmicks when tons of major issues continue to be ignored. Ball physics, pin placement logic, player models, club proportions, atmosphere, presentation, animations etc. are all STILL awful and have been for a while now. I think 2007 was the last time I saw a smooth golf swing in a TW game and 2011 was the peak graphically. They need to go back to using the facial scanning technology they were using from 2011 and before because now the player faces look really bad.

Seeing this game progress through the years makes me want to bash my head through a wall. For every step forward they always take two or three steps back.
Obviously opinions do vary and Tiger along with 4-5 other Pros such as Dustin Johnson were mo-capped....

Well if he was, they did a horrible job implementing it into the game.

Why do you keep saying that?

It's not an opinion, it's fact.

Go to 1:30. What the hell is that? And what is that finish?

Those look NOTHING alike.

Since the swing in the game IS mo-capped and the person making the swing AS TIGER, then you would assume that if the game is working properly, the person making the swing AS TIGER does not have the same swing as Tiger. Now if you compare AI Tiger to the other video from the AT&T event, you might have an argument.

What does this even mean?

The swing animation is still the same whether someone is playing the game or it's the AI. The animation doesn't all of a sudden change aside from the very slight angle changes when drawing or fading the ball. Things that still wouldn't effect the fundamental form of the swing. Those two swings look vastly different from one another. You're grasping at straws at this point.

EDIT:

On second thought, just forget it. Not worth my time explaining it to you, but YOU are the one grasping at straws.

Re: Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 13 Legacy Challenge Details Revealed

You're still not making sense nor addressing the point I initially brought up.

I know what mo-cap is and how it works and I've played golf my whole life. If they mo-capped Tiger, like you said they did, then no matter what angle of the downswing, or what kind of swing he is taking, in this instance his full swing, then it would look like how Tiger does it. Which in TW13 it doesn't at all. The finish looks nothing like Tiger's, his downswing looks horrid and powerless and hell, even his point of address looks off. You could perform all kinds of different shots in Tiger Woods 07 and it looked a lot more like Tiger's than this year.

I don't have a confrontational attitude, but when a clear visual is given to someone and they still can't process it, then I really don't know what to tell you. I guess my approach of using visual evidence to support my argument is grapsing at straws. Smfh

Comparing your vids, I was struck by the lack of body movement on the downward part of the swing in the mo-capped version. To me, that's where the difference between the two is most noticable. And that certainly can't be attributed to "the person swinging as Tiger." That's just something that quite obviously wasn't captured and/or translated properly when they coded his swing into the game.

I agree, that swing looks nothing like Tiger's. Looks pretty awful in that video, maybe that was an early build video. Hopefully it will improve, but who knows.

Also hoping for a better, realistic career mode. Been wanting to buy for a couple of years, maybe this is the year.....
