***Tiger Woods 09 Demo Impressions***

Horrible. Absolutley horrible.

Graphics have taken a step back and look like they are from the XBox1? The game looks very PCish now(By that i mean low graphics card stuff). grass is ok But it's been OK even on 06? Overall everything looks washed out, dull and badly drawn.......

It has been 4 years now and STILL no cloth movement,no better cloth textures either?

There is STILL a stutter in the golf swing. Only this time/this year it is within the players follow through whereas last year it crept up with the club movement.

Gameplay wise it feels NO different than tiger woods 03 and this is due to the use f the same game engine i presume has been used though out next gen. I'm sorry but why does fifa NHL and now madden along with NCAA seem to utilize more of the 360s power each year when after platying every tiger every year i feel it completely digresses?

I wasn't expecting much because early videos looked bad already, but I came in to the demo wanting to like it and buy it. NOW ohh god does it make me want to pick up a used copy of tiger Woods 06 for the 360............

Again absolutely horrible. no redeeming quality and completely unrealistic looking and feeling. A step back for the series and I hope critics pan it so that we can get a new engine in so that the game can shine again (Tiger woods 06)

And I don't mean to be negative its just that the game offers nothing new, nothing innovative(minus the club tuner which really looks blah once you do it-it's IN the demo)and nothing worth$60.00.

For me I am again TOTALLY disappointed.

I LOVED Nascar 09,LOVED NCAA 09 and now am lovin Madden 09,but Tiger? Not at all.

Shame, I was looking forward to this. I'll still try it tonight just to see for myself.

Me too, though I'll never be happy until they tweak the swing so I can at least learn how I screw up. In 08 I'd do the same exact swing and it'd go 2 different directions to the OOB, and the game wouldn't tell me anything so I could change how I played to fix it.

Links had such an awesome swing where you could screw up majorly but it felt legit...Tiger Woods just makes you want to throw the controller when it's a horrible shot because you didn't do anything different. I don't want the game easy I just want it consistent. I can't fully explain it, but it's just something that can completely ruin a great round and was totally out of your control. Frustrating. Oh well, I'll pass on this year's TW then. Saves me cash.

You and cloth movement. I'm downloading but you weren't going to even be objective unless there was cloth movement.

This is one of the most worthless features you could want.

How close is it to 08 if you played 08 Tomba? I picked 08 up a month or so ago used and I really dig it.

I also thought I heard that they had taken a page out of the Links playbook and added no wait MP. Where everyone plays at the same time and you see each others shots as colored lines on your screen. Which would be great, that was one of my favorite things about the xbox Links game.

Re: ***Tiger Woods 09 Demo Impressions***

I am going to go ahead and echo some of the previous statements.

In this day and age (both taking into account hardware and software from competitors), the graphics are pretty poor. Golf games should be the prettiest on a system.

And knowing that the Tour Mode is most likely broken again, I think I am going to pass on it.

Was cautiously optimistic about this game so I am kind of bummed. I may go snag Links for my golf fix.

I didn't quite notice the hitch as bad as Tomba, but I may not be paying attention enough.

Yeah, there is a hitch. The swing is still not a smooth animation.

Not too sure what you guys are talking about the graphics for, as I think they look pretty good. The swing doesn't really bother me, but the worst thing about this game in my opinion is the commentary. It is TERRRRRIBLE
