I think it's not coming out, and that's disappointing, it looks like I won't be buying or renting a basketball game this year.

I've always been a NBA live fan before it got canceled around the nba elite 11 release. Im gonna love 2k13 this year, I just saw a video today on youtube showing off the new control stick for jukes and such. That alone is gonna make this new release great.

The more hoops games the better and I would love to have another one this year but at this point I don't care. This EA circus show has gone on too long.

This sums up my thoughts, very well.

I think competition is good for gaming, but I'm don't even care anymore.

It's going to be hard for EA to rebuild a relationship with the Live/Elite fans. I wouldn't be willing to spend $60, that's for damn sure. Reasons such as that, are why I don't think this franchise has much of a chance of returning and becoming a household name for sports gamers.

They should scrap it and use the development resources to work on a baseball game or college basketball game

2K has so much steam at this point as well as proven quality within their title, that anything EA produces at point - digitally or otherwise, will make little to no difference no matter what they do at this point. EA would have to virtually blow everyone away with something so great - even 2K could not top it.

Agreed -- NBA2K has already shown improved gameplay in 13 with the right stick addition. As I have maintained all along, the only thing EA can do is to incorporate NCAA Basketball into NBA Live. EA cannot compete on gameplay so it must do so on content for it to stand a chance of being successful from a sales standpoint. If there is no NCAA addition, I bet EA will throw in the towel this fall.
