EA Sports should just scrap the game all together. Like previously stated, they stand no chance. Just cease in creating NBA games. Next will be Madden when NFL 2K13 comes.

We will have Elite 12 next Fall.

On another note looking at the amazing popularity of this year's 2K11 with Jordan on the cover and the overall polish and quality of the game EA would have been crushed in sales. At least next year they will have a chance to compete.
just waiting until next year would be a great idea....2k will be hard pressed to top 2k11 anytime soon, so next year will be elite's big chance. i would take a page from 2k and come up with a new mode (other than jordan) that would make the game appealing.

EA made the answer to this so obvious it doesn't deserve a poll.

What will the delay help in? I mean a small delay like december would be cool but I heard it will be until march.. thats close to playoffs basketball and will miss the whole season.

It is the right call. If they would have released the game, the backlash would have been off the charts. The delay also helps improve their image since it makes it seem like they don't want to produce shovelware purposefully.

Unless they scrap Elite 11 entirely and wait til the 2011-2012 season, they'll fare even worse in the market if they release a basketball game halfway through the season or later. When I buy a basketball game, I want it in my console about a week before the preseason fires up. Having to wait until the All-Star break is a total failure.

Competition is usually good.
But if you can not compete then there is no competition.

I just don't understand why people are complaining about a mid season release. By the All Star Break or so some players will want a fresh feeling game and Elite could come in and fill that gap. I think skipping the season is the smartest move and start fresh with NBA Elite 12
