How do you feel about ads in games?

i think its great,anyway to make it more realistic as far as the broadcast goes is fine by me...

It depends on the caliber of game. Madden is a game that can be really frustrating to play, in game ads only add to that mood.

I'm also a little wierd in that I actually see ads as $ when I see them in EA games, $$ that goes to denying me more football games I could be enjoying, which increases the annoyance even more.

If its a game that I'm really enjoying tho, I can overlook the ads a lot easier.

I don't even mind the Madden ads. I agree that they were poorly implemented but it's out of the way so that it's not distracting me. I actually wouldn't be imposed if they added commercials to madden.

As long as they were:
- no more than 1-2 commercials at a time
- no more than 1-2 commercial breaks a game
- actually good, funny commercials
- didn't repeat the same ones over and over again
- happened at relevant times and had NCAA basketball 10 like fadeaways

I don't mind them as they are know. I just hate when companies decide to plaster 3 of the same product back to back to back like on 3 different billboards etc. As as it's mixed up well, I'll take it over some fake product. Now, it'd be even better if they'd actually make it realistic to each stadium/ballark/arena.

...but they suck when not used correctly

FOR EXAMPLE, those of us who were unfortunate enough to play MLB 2K9 with the millions of Pepsi ads

When this first started i thought it was great but it seems that with every game and even patches/updates they just start 2 overwhelm the game.

I remember playin a game of baseball one day and the outfield walls looked like they do IRL. Then the next day i turned on the xbox and was amazed at just how many $5 foot long Ads they could put in one stadium

So much depends on how the ads are done in the games...but even the most clunky don't bother me that much.
