Which of the major sports had the best 2009 in sports gaming?

Everyone's definition of best will be different.

So...if it was Best Jump from last year to this year: Madden 10 (Nice, I actually bought and am still playing this year for the first time in years.)
Best Dropoff from last year to this year: NCAA 10 (Football Again, not good tho lol. Gameplay is pretty good IMO, but what'd they do with everything else?)
Best Group of games from a sports genre: Basketball (2k10 , looking towards NCAA Basketball too...fingers crossed)
Best Game out of the Box, and I mean with things wrong with the game. (possibly, I have heard AWESOME things about this game. I have yet to play but I'm actually looking towards my first soccer game since like SNES Days): FIFA 10 (Soccer)

All in all tho I have to go with the game that got the most time and still is getting a decent amount of play...Baseball's MLB 09. Most likely it'll get played til MLB 10. Can't say the same for NCAA, probably NOT Madden, but for the first time in 5 years I have played more Madden than NCAA. I will PROBABLY be trading in NCAA Football for basketball, but I havent convinced myself to do that just yet, as I'm going to wait til December (as long as the urge doesn't get me before that to pick up basketball lol, help me out guys!!!!! I need to stay strong til I see you're guys' reviews)...I still have CH2k8 keeping my college bball fix.
I did get NHL 2k10, and with sliders I do enjoy it, I'm just not as big of hockey fan as Football and baseball, but I do get in 2 or 3 games a week...and baseball plays better both online and offline than the football games this year.

I would have voted MMA/Fighting with UFC undisputed being the best sports game for me this year.

However from those choices I would have to say Soccer. Not alot of people play soccer games so no one could see the amount of depth these games have and how much the FIFA series have improved compared to all the other sports game series out there.

Heck Pro Evolution in my mind hasn't been great since Winning Eleven 9 and I still think that game is better than the majority of the sports games out now.

The Show 09 is the greatest sports sim I've ever played and quite possibly the greatest game I've ever played. A clear winner that gets Baseball over the line.
