Kansas City Improves to 3-2 Following OT Win
October 6, 2013
Nashville TN

Ryan Succop redeemed himself from an earlier miss to hit a 31-yard field goal halfway through the extra period to give the Chiefs a 20-17 victory and improve to 3-2 on the season. The Titans fell to 1-4 were led by Chris Johnson who had 126 yards on the ground. Jake Locker struggled, completing just 15-of-36 pass attempts for 202 yards.

Tennessee roared back from an 10-0 deficit in the second quarter to take a 14-10 lead midway through the third period. However, Alex Smith battled back and with 1:31 left in the third, retook the lead 17-14 on a ten yard strike to Dwayne Bowe, Bowe's second score of the game. Locker and the Titans battled back and tied the game at 17-all with 4:04 left in the game. The Titans would receive the ball in overtime but their drive would stall. Smith and the Chiefs however, would work it down the field and Ryan Succop hit the game winning score.

Leading Rusher Lynch Torches Titans
October 13, 2013
Nashville TN

Marshawn Lynch entered the game as the NFL's leading rusher and should hold that same title Tuesday morning. Lynch had 135 yards on the ground en route to a dominating 31-7 victory over the Titans.

Tennessee struggled all game, primarily Jake Locker. Locker threw four interceptions before leaving the game in the third quarter with a shoulder injury. Ryan Fitzpatrick entered the game and led the Titans to a touchdown, but the damage was effectively done. Locker did not return in the game and his status for next week's game against San Francisco was not known.

Niners Embarrass Titans, 41-13
October 20, 2013
Nashville TN

Colin Kaepernick had four touchdowns to four different receivers en route to a dominating 41-13 victory over the sliding Titans. San Francisco entered the game as one of only three undefeated teams remaining [Denver & New England] and continued their winning ways. They held the Titans to just 201 yards of total offense and intercepted Jake Locker once.

The loss drops Tennessee to 1-6 on the season, their fourth consecutive loss. They have a bye week in week eight, and hope to find a way to change things around in the second half of the season.

Dropping Comebacks, Rams Can't Finish Comeback
November 3, 2013
St. Louis MO

Up 21-7 at halftime, the Titans looked poised to get their second win of the season following their bye week. Then, things started to slip up and the Rams worked their way back into the game. With less than a minute remaining in the game, Kellen Clemens (in for the injured Sam Bradford) had his team in range for a tying touchdown. On a Fourth-and-Goal from inside the ten, Clemens found a wide open Brian Quick in the end zone. Unfortunately, Quick dropped the pass and the Titans sealed their second win of the season.

The scoring started early and often with the Titans taking the opening drive the length of the field in less than two and a half minutes capping off the drive with a three yard quarterback keeper from Jake Locker. Less than a minute later, the score was tied at seven following Kendall Hunter's fifty-six yard touchdown run. The Titans responded with another score when Chris Johnson found the end zone from eight yards out and it was 14-7 lead after the first quarter closed. Locker would add a touchdown through the air on a two-yard strike to Nate Washington.

The teams would trade field goals in the second half before Isaiah Pead scored from two yards out with 4:45 remaining in the game. The Rams would get the ball back just north of two minutes left and drive down the field before failing to convert on fourth down.

Injuries were the name of the game however. Kenny Britt left the game on the opening drive and did not return. Chris Johnson also left the field with an ankle injury late and did not return. Brian Schwenke, the rookie center for Tennessee left as well and is expected to miss extended time. For St. Louis, a number of players left the game and returned, including second string quarterback Kellen Clemens. His replacement Austin Davis struggled, throwing two interceptions in just six pass attempts.

Johnson to Miss Five Weeks Minimum
November 6, 2013
Nashville TN

Titans running back Chris Johnson was announced today that he's expected to miss at least five weeks with a dislocated ankle. Johnson injured the ankle on a fifty-two yard run late in the fourth quarter. Also on the injury front, rookie center Brian Schwenke is expected to miss nearly two months with a hip injury while Kenny Britt will miss week ten's game against Jacksonville with an ankle injury as well.
