#10 Florida looking to avenge last home loss against #19 Auburn
NCAA News
Two weeks ago, the Florida Gators hosted rivals Tennessee at The Swamp in what was named the "Game of the Week". Unfortunately, Florida couldn't hold a 28-13 fourth-quarter lead and lost in 3 overtimes despite being at home. This week, the 10th-ranked Gators have a chance to redeem themselves.
Two SEC powers will duke it out this weekend when #19 Auburn travels to The Swamp to face the Gators in a matchup that is a must-win for both squads. Florida, as mentioned, has already dropped an SEC game and probably needs to win out to capture the East crown. Auburn, on the other hand, is in a tough battle with ranked squads like #5 Arkansas, #7 LSU and a dark horse in Alabama for the West title. Any slip-up could cost the Tigers their shot.
Florida bounced back in dominating fashion last week, trouncing Ole Miss on the road 27-7. Auburn had no issues with New Mexico State in a non-conference tussle, winning 34-7.
This week, I can't see the Gators dropping two SEC games at home. Auburn is good but the Gators defense, led by sophomore MLB Brandon Spikes and the nation's #1 rank against the run, looked impressive last week. I say the Gators make a statement in emphatic fashion.

Tebow, #10 Florida make late surge to upend #19 Auburn at home
NCAA News
Heading into the 4th quarter with the score tied at 24, sophomore QB Tim Tebow knew he had to do something. And it appears that successful late drives are becoming something of a habit.
Tebow threw 2 TD passes in the 4th quarter, breaking the tie and lifting #10 Florida to a 38-24 home victory over #19 Auburn. It was a close battle that wasn't decided until Tebow hit RB Chevron Walker for a 1-yard TD pass with only 4:03 to go, extending their final lead to 14.
The first half was a real drag-'em-out fight, with Florida taking a 17-10 halftime lead behind Walker's 2 TD runs. In the 3rd quarter, Auburn tied the game twice behind RB Brad Lester's TD plunges, overcoming a 32-yard TD pass from Tebow to WR Percy Harvin.
In the 4th quarter, Tebow took it upon himself to put the game away. The sophomore signal-caller hit TE Cornelius Ingram for a 54-yard strike and dumped off to Walker for the game-clinching 1-yard score to put the game out of reach. Auburn couldn't mount any threatening drive in the final frame.
Tebow threw for 267 yards and 3 TDs without an interception on 20-of-30 passing. Walker paced the running game with 131 yards and scored 3 total TDs, while Harvin led all receivers with 109 yards.
For Auburn, Lester ran for 81 yards and 2 TDs. Senior QB Brandon Cox threw for 179 yards and a TD, but it wasn't enough.
Florida dominated the time of possession (32+ minutes) and converted 10-of-13 third-down attempts.
