Week 2 --- Top 25 Schedule (Note: Gold = Game of the Week, Bold = National Broadcast)

Virginia Tech, LSU to wage Top-10 war for SEC/ACC bragging rights NCAA News
If you thought last week's Game of the Week battle was a tough one to call, just look at this week's matchup.
The 8th-ranked Hokies will hit the road this weekend, travelling down to Baton Rouge and into fiesty Death Valley to take on the 3rd-ranked Tigers of LSU. Both teams got solid victories last week and are looking to not only make a statement for their BCS title hopes, but also a statement for their respective conferences.
LSU will be looking to represent the SEC a little better than Tennessee did last week, but will have to overcome Virginia Tech's bruising defense. The Tigers struggled offensively in a 24-17 road victory over Mississippi State last week, but it won't get any easier against the Hokies.
Still, I think LSU just had an off week last week against a conference rival and should respond well in a highly-anticipated Top-10 matchup. The Hokies are good, but they will probably struggle on the road.

Who says you can't win in Death Valley on Saturday nights?
WR Eddie Royal caught 3 TD passes to lead the 8th-ranked Virginia Tech Hokies to a 35-28 upset of the 3rd-ranked LSU Tigers. Both squads played a tough back-and-forth game, but Royal's 3rd TD catch from QB Sean Glennon early in the 4th quarter put the Hokies up for good at 35-21.
The teams traded scores several times, building 3 ties during the course of the game. Virginia Tech led 21-14 at the half, but the Tigers tied the game at 21 on RB Keiland Williams' 4-yard TD run.
It was then that Royal and Glennon connected again. The Hokies' passing connection churned out TD passes of 1 and 54 yards bridging the final 2 quarters to put the game out of reach. LSU scored later in the 4th but couldn't mount a last drive to tie the game.
Royal totaled 115 yards on 6 catches, while Glennon threw for 239 yards and 3 TDs on 15-of-29 passing but was picked off twice. RBs Branden Ore and Kenny Lewis each scored on the ground, and Ore led all rushers with 98 yards.
LSU put up quite a fight but couldn't get the home victory. Sophomore RB Charles Scott had the best day, totaling 145 total yards (75 rushing) and 2 TDs (1 receiving). QB Matt Flynn threw for 221 yards and 2 TDs, while WR Early Doucet led all receivers with 118 yards and a 4th-quarter TD.
The Hokies' defense was clutch late in the contest and was paced by two awesome performances. DE Chris Ellis totaled 3 sacks and a forced fumble, while MLB Vince Hall recorded a sack and an interception.
