Re: Miami Hurriances (NCAA 10)

College Football Gets A Face-lift

Miami's abrupt leave from the Atlantic Coastal Conference (ACC) to the Independents has lead to a shake-up causing four other teams to leave their respective conferences. The Golden Knights of Central Florida have replaced the Hurricanes in the ACC while Navy and Army will continue their feud in the C-USA after leaving the Independents with the help of Tulane as the Green Wave have traded places with Army.

The off-season has been a very sporadic one for Randy Shannon and his Hurricanes due to the conference change as well as a new face at quarterback. True freshman Raynard Battle is just another addition to the young squad who'll look to take advantage of the all year non-conference play. Jacory Harris left the team due to personal reasons. Shannon like other coaches has gone to the spread offense to fully utilize the skills of Raynard Battle and the receiving corp. of Miami.

Despite the conference change the majority of the opponents Miami will play reign from the ACC, but there's no cupcakes here for Miami in the opening game of the season as they travel to the Swamp to play for the War Canoe Trophy.

I noticed that too...but not at first. One of those things where your mind know what it says, so you don't even realize.

Re: Miami Hurriances (NCAA 10)

Battle For The Seminole War Canoe Preview

In light of the sudden conference changes Miami elected to play the national defending champions in the opening week of college football. With that said Miami's Raynard Battle mentioned after a practice that playing at The Swamp was like, 'going into the lion's den with a slingshot.'
Confidence is the recipe success is what Randy Shannon has drilled into the heads of his players throughout spring training and now practices. But with the game just days away Randy Shannon speaks that confidence is the recipe of an upset.
Just a 297 miles elsewhere Urban Meyer speaks of this game as just another repeat of last year. 'I'm shocked they elected to play at The Swamp after already playing us there last year,' Meyer exclaimed at a conference earlier in the week.
Tim Tebow looks for this game to open up his Heisman campaign on a positive note with the help of senior receiver Riley Cooper and sophomore stud Chris Rainey.

Players To Watch -
Miami's Raynard Battle, Javarris James, and team captain Randy Phillips

Florida's Tim Tebow, Riley Cooper, and Brandon Spikes

Our Prediction
Miami - 14
Florida - 31
