After getting off to an 0-3 start this year, my team has now won 6 out of my last 7 and I'm sitting in 4th place out of 10.
WR: Vincent Jackson (#5 WR right now)
WR: Brandon Marshall (#13)
TE: Shiancoe
QB/RB/WR/TE: Dave Garrard
DST: Ravens and Bengals (#7 and #3, I start whoever has the better matchup)
IDP: Tanard Jackson
K: Mason Crosby

Also available for these spots in the lineup are:
Steve Smith (#8)Sims-Walker (#17)
Braylon Edwards
Steve Slaton (#20)
Justin Forsett

I just made a pair of trades. I'm trading away Sims-Walker and my 5th round pick next year for LT and this guy's 11th rounder (adding some depth to my RB core and hoping LT is starting to get it together in time for the playoffs). And I just made a huge trade, dealing David Garrard, my 2nd round pick, and my 4th round pick, for Tom Brady and his last 2 draft picks. I can plug Brady in at my QB/RB/WR/TE spot and I feel very confident that this lineup will allow me to be the first team in league history to win back-to-back championships (it's a money league). What do you guys think about this risky move?

2) Holding for a win with your team up a surmountable amount, and watching your opponent's score catching while nobody on your team can do anything and you can only watch.
Gonzo's performance has dropped off though he is playing Carolina. I'm worried about my best receiver, Jackson, going against the Philly defense though they are showing that they are susceptible to the long ball. Chicago and SF defenses are giving up their fare share of points each week.
What do you guys think?

In a 17-week season, it certainly is difficult to find a mid-way point. So, 8 weeks in seems just right to give my midseason awards. I understand that many of us (myself included) are just as immersed into our "regular" fantasy football leagues as we are into Operation Sports Fantasy Football. Whether you're doing just one or both of the Fantasy formats, you can debate away about my midseason awards:

Most Valuable Player: Adrian Peterson - It's not often a consensus #1 pick lives up to the hype, but All Day AP has done so. In his worst week he put up 9.5 points and a touchdown. In his best? 180 yards, 3 TDs and 38 points out of the gate against the Browns. Honorable Mention: Maurice Jones-Drew, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees

Biggest Bust: Steve Smith (Carolina) - If you happen to be one of the very lucky people who were in an auction draft and were "tricked" into bidding on the wrong Steve Smith (I know - I did this with Ryan Braun in a baseball draft) you got the last laugh here. While his NY Giants counterpart is lighting it up, the Panthers' Smith is ranked #32 among WR, right behind Mike Wallace (who?) of the Steelers. He's put up just 1 game of +100 yards receiving and one - yes, one - touchdown all season. For the #3 ranked WR coming into the season, that's a huge disappointment. Honorable Mention: Matt Forte, Steve Slaton, Kurt Warner.

Comeback Award: Ricky Williams - Not your first choice? Understandable. Consider this: Ricky has 6 TDs this year - more than the last 2 years combined. He is averaging 5.4 ypc - the most of his career. He's averaging 12.3 y/catch this year - he's never averaged more than 9.3. He has 0 fumbles - he had 5 last year. For a guy who many considered to be done - he's now the #27th ranked fantasy player (in points). Not too bad. Honorable Mention: Brett Favre, Carson Palmer

Sleeper Award: Miles Austin - Austin has put on a show over the last few weeks. After a 37-point effort that many worried was a fluke in week five against the Cheifs, Austin has followed that up with 29, and 13 point performances in the weeks to follow. And don't forget about his 10-point showing in week one. With apologies to Steve Smith, Austin has been the surprise star. Honorable Mention: Steve Smith, Ray Rice, Percy Harvin

I am doing pretty good this year. Putting up good points with my team. But I ended up drafting Steve Smith with Carolina pretty high and he has not done crap with how bad Jake has been.

So I made a free agent move and picked up Steve Breaston. I am wondering who should I bench in this situation. They are saying breaston should be considered a low end #2 this week.

My starting Lineup

QB - Kurt Warner
HB - Joseph Addai
HB - Michael Turner
WR - Nate Burleson
WR - Donald Driver
WR - Steve Smith
TE - Veron Davis
K - Mason Crosby
D - Vikings

Player in Question is Steve Breaston.

Do I sit Breaston or do I sit Steve Smith and the horrible Carolina pass offense. Driver has been decent and Burleson has been surprisingly good.

So, in one of my fantasy leagues, I'm in desperate need of a RB. My current RB's are:

I'm stocked at WR though:

Vincent Jackson - 60 points
Randy Moss - 76 points
Sidney Rice - 51 points
Nate Burleson - 56 points

Someone else needs a WR, and he's stocked at RB's, so today, he proposed this trade:

Donald Brown and Matt Forte (81 points combined) in exchange for Vincent Jackson (60 points)

What do you guys think? Forte has been struggling, but is going against the Browns next week, and Brown is still splitting time with Addai. VJ is huge for me, but I think I can live without him too since I've got Brady with Moss, and Favre to go with Rice. I plan on trading Favre after this week since it's the Pats bye.

I play him next week, and we're both 5-2, so it'll be an interesting decision to watch.

Thoughts?

I've got a deal on the table that I would trade Kevin Smith in exchange for Steven Jackson.

Stats-wise, they're about the same so far this year, but I'm really making this trade for next-year and onwards. Jackson is an elite back, but Smith is on a better offense at this point. Do I make the trade for Jackson or keep Smith and keep him next year? HELP!
