NO accelerated clock (people who have always wanted to join a league without any
accelerated clock rejoice)
3 games a week. (League advances Monday, Wednesday, and Friday)
Sim rules that are not oppressive and take the fun out of the game
no cheating and or glitching
league is for mature, honest gamers who would like to recreate
real life NFL football.

Remember this is a sim but fun
league if you would like to recreate the 2008 Patriots offense and pass on nearly every down this league is for you.
If you would like to recreate the Miami Dolphins run offense you're welcome in our league.

Remember this PS3 fantasy league will start 7-10 days after the second patch is released.

General league rules

Offensive rules
1. You are not allowed to call the same offensive play and formation all game long. You must call at least a handful of different offensive formations all game and over 15 different plays per game.

2. Teams are limited to calling no more than 5 screen passes a game.
People in our league cannot run the screens as their base offense or to constantly try and have that play bail them out 10-15 times a game. I'm striving for NFL realism here.

3. 4th down rules
You many only go for it at or inside your opponents 1 yard line otherwise kick the field goal or punt.
Exception: You may go for it on 4th down if you are losing by 14 points or more in the 4th quarter or if you are losing with less than 5 minutes remaining in the game.

4. Scrambling
Run all you want with the QB but if the first thing you do is constantly sprint backwards or immediately rollout to the
left or right without trying to make at least a couple reads then this would be a violation of league rules.
Please don't be one of those typical "ranked gamers" that will rollout immediately after taking the snap in
shotgun and then fire missles downfield. That is not allowed. Stay in the pocket and make at least a couple of reads, if no one is open then you can run. Calling quarterback runs occasionally is allowed.

5. If your opponent insists on calling 8 man zones all game then again fight fire with fire and run with your running back or quarterback all day.

6. The no huddle may only be used under 2 minutes in the 2nd and 4th quarters.




Special teams
Do not manually bring a blocker back to help block prior to the snap on your punt return this is a known tournament cheese move.

Fake field goals and fake punts are not allowed.

Onside kicks are only allowed in the 4th quarter if you are losing.

Defense
1. Do not call the 1-5-5 as your base defense. This is an exploit in the game due to poor programming.
And taking advantage of this known exploit says a lot about the person doing it.
If real life NFL players were in a standing position on nearly every play in the NFL those defenders would get killed and driven into the turf because the offensive lineman would have all the leverage.
It's simple physics which as we all know is lacking at times in this game. Do not call 1-5-5 unless it is 3rd or 4th down.

The dollar, dime, and quarter defense are also not allowed as your base defense.

2. 9,10, and 11 man zones are not allowed. Please do not ever call these ridiculous zones.

3. You must have 3 defenders rushing the passer at all times. you may assign 1 or 2 defensive lineman into qb contain or spy mode.

4. Do not ever pull a tournament cheat of manually moving a defensive lineman prior to the snap. You may only move the defensive line by using the L1 button.

5. You may only manually move 1 player prior to the snap.

6. No nano blitzes.

7. Do not show blitz or press coverage all of the time. This is one of the most abused moves used in madden.


Final rule:
If your opponent keeps calling the same play on defense then, fight fire with fire..nah I say fight fire with scud missiles. Run the same offensive play over and over until he stops. For example if someone calls an 8 man zone all game then you are allowed to run the same offensive play all game. When he stops violating league rules and behaving like a little turd that's when you'll stop.
Seriously if someone does this let me know and I will get both sides of the story. But you either have to videotape
the violation(s) or save the replay. I will then boot the offending person.

Again I'm striving to recreate real life NFL football. Not trying to recreate a
typical "ranked game" where tournament exploits are abused.

What I would like to emphasize the most is what makes this league different from most other leagues:

Respect and fairness

Nearly every league I join has sim rules that are too lenient or too strict. Allowing people to call the same defensive play and formation on every play or showing favoritsm towards friends.
Looking the other way when their friends ignore and or violate league rules
Not in my league everyone is treated equally, with respect and fairness. Everyone including myself will be held to the same league standards.

This league will be sim but fun. Hot route all you want, change formations on the fly, pass like the 2008 patriots or run like the dolphins. Everyone has the freedom to run their team as they see fit without having to play against other people who use
tournament exploits.

This league will be one of the few leagues that start out after patch #2 is released.

So post you psn tags here if you are interested and also post that you have read and agree to the rules.

Remember I will be setting up a forum in the next few days. I will post the link here in a few days. I already have a few people who have joined so I'm looking to have at least 10-15 more honest gamers join.
