This year I am very excited. After playing most of the lackluster 10 games this year I see now how good we have it with this game. I am confident the fielding will be better, and some of the nagging issues will be fixed. One of the coolest things about this game is the developer interaction. I can't wait for the devs to start talking again. Giving us little tid-bits everyday. Not to mention the daily screen shots. These devs are class acts, and I can't wait for them to start interacting.

Hey guys, I was just wondering if you could give me some input on this.

After playing a couple of seasons in my franchise (and still going strong!), I've been wondering, how exactly does the CPU decide what relief pitcher to bring in? The only reason I think about this is because midway through a season, I'll look at the number of games the different relief pitchers on another club pitch and it can vary very much. I understand that the CPU only brings in closers in 9th inning save situations, but what about everyone else? Do they use set-up guys like they're supposed to? Do they mostly bring in the relief pitchers with the best stats, or the best ratings?

Thanks.

Focusing in on one area of a game...and it's problems in the current version as opposed to ADDING.
I realize we have the bugs and glitches thread....but this is more about a feature of the franchise mode that is not quite working as it should or at all...(for instance...transportation.....it works...but we hate it...and the 60 day DL...just plain not working)
I've been compiling a list...but of course...I will forget or just miss things.
PLEASE...PLEASE do not ask for whole new additions.
This is just to make sure the things in the game are working as they should.....or how "we" think they should.

Thank you.

So I'm about to buy one of those two games for PS3.

On one side, I have MLB 09 for $25.

On the other, I have MLB 08, and 4 other PS3 games for the same price.

What are the biggest differences in the two versions of the game? I'm not a big baseball video game fan (I've been fine with MLB 2K5: World Series Edition until now). I rented 09 from Game Fly a while back, and really enjoyed it, but, I must admit, I had to mess with the sliders because I'm not spectacular at the batting aspect of things. I've heard 09 is more difficult for beginner to average players of the game.

I'd appreciate any feedback you can give me on both. I really want to buy one or the other, but I want to make sure to buy the right one, because let's face it, it might be the last one I buy for another 5 years. :-p
