I see why the MLB 2K series isn't good. 2K can't stick with one development team. It's all f'd up really. It's all a gamble. Red Sox defeated the Royals in the ALCS. Braves swept the divisional round and the NCLS against the Marlins.

World Series was won in 6 games by the Braves. Braves won the first three, lost two in a row, then won game 6 in Atlanta to take the series. Brian McCann was the world series MVP with 5 homeruns.

Awards:
AL MVP Mark Texiera - Hit about .310 with 35HR and 135RBI
NL MVP David Wright - .305 33HR 120RBI
AL CY YOUNG - Some pitcher from the Twins, Can't recall.
NL CY YOUNG - Javy Vazquez - 18-5 2.44 era. Also missed about 4 starts on injury or could've won 20 games.

Braves Leaders:
LaRoche hit 28 HRs
McCann had 99 RBI
Chipper his .307
McClouth had 28 stolen bases and 27 homers. Just shy of 30/30.

Team Batting Average was about .270. Team ERA was 3.65 which led the majors. I finished with the second best regular season record of 91-71, Red Sox were a game better 92-70.

Biggest surprise was the Royals making the playoffs and the Yankees as cellar dwellars.

In the offseason I released Garrett Anderson but resigned everyone else which included Chipper, Church, Diaz, Soriano, Gonzalez and Hudson.

Since I had 6 solid starters in Vazquez, Jurrjens, Hudson, Kawakami and Hanson I decided to trade Lowe. I wanted to get a right handed power bat to play left field. I ended up on Pat Burrell from the Rays. I traded Lowe and a minor league player. Pat has 95 power against left handers and mid 80's against right handers. I was second to the last in the NL in homeruns so I needed a power bat in the middle of my lineup. I looked at Jason Bay but the Red Sox didn't really need pitching. I also looked at the Brewers who do need pitching but they didn't want to part with Braun or Hart. I think Burrell will fit in well.

Soriano closing, Gonzalez and Moyland setup, Acosta and a LHP i called up middle relief and Campillo long relief.

I think for this next season I'm going to play every 6th game. Basically that way I get to play with each pitcher in my rotation but the season won't take so long. This past season I basically followed the real life baseball schedule and simmed games when I couldn't get them in and played them when I could.

I'm using sliders I posted a while back. They work real well for me. The CPU gets a couple more base hits than they would in real life but also walks less. WHIP is what is important and that is right now. Plays a good game of baseball and I'm enjoying it. Don't know that I'll play this full season but we will see. This is the first time I've actually finished a season of baseball in a long time without getting fed up and quitting early.

I played it on 360 a while ago. The framerate is terrible and it has other issues just as important as the framerate, but I gotta say, this game was onto something and I can't believe how badly 2K Sports dropped the ball on this one. MLB 2K9 should've rivaled The Show 09. They were really onto something in MLB 2K7.
