Innovative Board Controller Gets Kids and Families
Off the Couch and Into the Game

Santa Monica, CA – November 17, 2009 – It’s time to get off the couch and into the game with Activision Publishing, Inc.’s (Nasdaq: ATVI) Tony Hawk: RIDE, the ground-breaking new entry in the popular action sports franchise. Featuring a revolutionary skateboard controller, players of varied skill levels can physically control the action by stepping on board to perform movements and gestures that directly translate into amazing tricks in the game; from grinds, grabs and ollies to Tony Hawk’s signature tricks.

“Tony Hawk: RIDE is THE new way to play. It gives a whole new meaning to game night by allowing the entire family to challenge one another to competitions that are as fun to watch as they are to play,” said Rob Kostich, head of marketing, licensed products, Activision Publishing, Inc. “It’s the perfect activity for the entire family this holiday season…and anytime of the year.”

“This is the game I’ve always wanted to make,” said legendary pro skater Tony Hawk. “The skateboard peripheral opens up a whole new level of interactivity and physicality, allowing players to control the action with their whole body. I can’t wait for everyone to jump on the board and ride.”

Tony Hawk: RIDE takes the popular action sports video game franchise in an all-new direction. The wireless skateboard controller was designed in conjunction with the game to offer a dynamic gaming experience built from the ground up. The innovative motion sensing peripheral offers a completely new way to play games. Without complex button combinations or analog sticks, gamers of various skill levels can literally step on the board and play.

Tony Hawk: RIDE is developed by Robomodo for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system. Buzz Monkey developed the Wii™ system version. The game is rated E10+ by the ESRB.

This is a thread with a poll attached to try and determine which sports game this year has been released with the most glitches or bugs in the retail product, before any patches.

This has been the buggiest year in memory for me as far as sports game releases are concerned. Starting with the absolute disaster of MLB 2k9, NCAA Football 10's disastrous roster errors and teambuilder issues, all the way through to the buggiest set of pro basketball games ever released IMO with NBA Live 10 and NBA 2K10.

So I'm gonna list 9 games that I know have needed and received patch(es) in able to get the full experience (and some never delivered), and I'll also list and option for other, in case I have missed one.

The WNBA's Detroit Shock are moving to Tulsa, Okla., a team official told The Associated Press.
The official spoke on the condition of anonymity Monday because he was not authorized to make the announcement.
Detroit made its debut in the league in 1998 and won titles in 2008, 2006 and 2003. The Shock lost last month to the Indiana Fever in the Eastern Conference finals after rallying to earn a playoff spot.
Last week, a group of investors in Tulsa said they would formally apply to the WNBA to purchase a franchise.
Lead investor Bill Cameron has said his group, called Tulsa Pro Hoops LLC, will exercise its option to buy a WNBA team and expected a decision from the league by the end of October with the goal of having a team in Oklahoma next season.
Cameron and fellow investor David Box -- both Oklahoma City businessmen -- announced last month that former Tulsa and Arkansas coach Nolan Richardson would serve as the WNBA team's coach and general manager if Tulsa landed a franchise.
The Shock had a lot of success on the court, but not in the stands in a state with four major professional teams along with Michigan and Michigan State athletics.
In the 2003 WNBA Finals, Detroit did draw 22,076 fans -- setting a record for the largest crowd to watch a women's professional basketball game -- but most games were sparsely attended with a curtain covering up the upper level of The Palace of Auburn Hills.
Tulsa, with about 385,000 people, would be the second-smallest city with a WNBA franchise -- after Uncasville, Conn. The team would play at the BOK Center, which holds about 18,000 and opened last year.
Cameron and Box are members of the ownership group of the Tulsa Talons of arenafootball2. Cameron also is part of the ownership group of the NBA's Oklahoma City Thunder.
That group bought the then-Seattle SuperSonics and the WNBA's Seattle Storm in July 2006, but sold the WNBA franchise to Seattle investors before moving the NBA franchise to Oklahoma City last year. The Shock's move would give the state of Oklahoma two professional basketball teams.

Just wanted to let people know about this web application we have recently finished building. In a couple of words, it can be described as competition (league) management meets social networking. Creating gaming ladders and tournaments has never been easier. Organize single elimination brackets, keep standings, challenge other teams and much more. Check it out at www.you-compete.com.

Hi guys,

Long time 360 owner who just bought a wii. So far I only have two games, wii sports and wii sports resort. I bought wii sports resort with the wii motion plus because the bowling is so good. My question.. Is there any way to change the volume on will bowling? I'd like to cut down the volume of the background song so I could just play my stereo while we bowl. But for the life of me I can't find any 'settings' page. Do these games not have any settings such as volume, difficulty level, etc? Coming from the 360 I'm used to being able to change these types of things in games.

Thanks
