Sliders for Puja's tweaked rosters

Not the same version in the franchise file in the rosters section. Try it on Normal speed as well and see what type of effect you get.

Re: Sliders for Puja's tweaked rosters

Any way of getting these posted here instead of a download? I'm interested in what these sliders look like. Thank you.

Sure.....haven't played in a while and was actually tweaking the rosters further to get even better play out of the cpu QB's. So I'm upping the consistency even more. I'll get back to you.

Re: Sliders for Puja's tweaked rosters

Ok...after raising the consistency on the QB starters and fooling around with the sliders a bit more, did a "realignment" season putting teams in where they might be location wise if it were pure geography (i.e., Dolphins in one of the south divs.). Then I decided to play as a pretty paltry team vs. an upper level team and took the Browns in against the Colts on 8 min qtrs/perf. EQ is ON/normal speed. Here were the significant stats for the cpu:

Manning: 20 for 28 (71%) for 350 yds, 5 TD's and 1 INT for a rating of 138.4

Addai: 19 for 56 yds (26 long) with 0 TDs/fumbles

Wayne: 8 recs. for 128 and 1 TD
Clark: 6 recs. for 124 and 2 TD's (78 long)
Harrison (interesting): 1 rec for 16 yds.

Keiaho and Freeney 1 sack ea.

Jackson and Foster 1 INT ea.

Vinatieri 2 for 2 (47 long)

Final Score: Indy 48 ~ Clev 21 (pretty much as you'd expect it)

Sliders:

(human / cpu)
Blocking: 36,4 (can help with sacks both ways)
Passing: 2,40
Running: 15,36 (but will prob. up to 40 for cpu)
Catching: 3, 40
Coverage:0, 5
Pursuit: 0,0
Tackling: 5,4
Kicking: 0,40
Fatigue: 6,6
Injury: 20
Fumbles: 24 (good/dome weather); 26 (rain); 28 (snow)
Interceptions: 0

Next experimental game: Baltimore (cpu) @ Philly

Re: Sliders for Puja's tweaked rosters

Finally got a good cpu (Min) v. H.(Car) game on 8 min. qtrs. Version 3 is posted in the original posting (ver. 2 didn't work out and I bagged it).

Car 27 ** Min 20

Jumped out to an early 21 - 7 lead in the 1st half thanks to a long Stewart run; bomb to Smith and PR by Mark Jones.

Delhomme: 12 for 19 for 200; 1TD/0 INT's
Frerotte: 27 for 44 for 262; 1 TD/0 INT's

Stewart & Williams: 26 for 129; 1 TD/0 Fum's
Peterson: 12 for 61; 1 TD/0 Fum's

S. Smith: 5 for 108 and 1 TD
Muhammad: 5 for 78

Berrian: 8 for 93
Wade: 7 for 68

Min Def.: 1 sack

Kasay: 2/3; 36 long
Longwell: 2/3 40 long

M. Jones: 72 yd PR

# plays (run/pass/spec.):
----Car: 29/20/6 for 55 plays
----Min: 13/44/7 for 64 plays

total plays: 119 + 10 KR's for 129

Could you cut/paste version 3 for me please? I think I'm liking your slider experiments and I'm going to go with your final ones.

Re: Sliders for Puja's tweaked rosters

Sure thing.....working late, but I'll try to get them up later (that's what she said). But it sounds like you're not using the tweaked rosters, so I can't speak to what effect these sliders have on non-tweaked rosters. Maybe you can post some results yourself.

After yesterday's game where Roeth., Ward & Parker torched my Eagles D for 45 points in the rain, I'm thinking of also putting out a formula for certain sliders to be reduced when playing in the rain and snow vs. clear/dome weather. I'm also thinking of going back to 7 min. qtrs, realistic # of plays be damned.

I'm also tempted to give these a try. I do tend to question everything when I see EQ is turned on. You don't think this has anything to do with the good looking completion percentages more so than the tweaks?

Just asking as I haven't seen a formal debate on the subject.

I am in agreement with you. EQ to me anyway always feels like a cheap way to keep the scores close. I have had numerous games when i have been up 2 or 3 scores only for the comp to stage a miraculous comeback and this is also true when i have been down by a lot suddenly everything seems to work and i rack up the difference. I know the official answer to EQ is that it brings the players ratings closer together but i tend towards catch up logic.
Just one mans opinion

Re: Sliders for Puja's tweaked rosters

Might be good to try whatever combination of rosters and sliders with EQ on and off. But I would play a variety of games with different teams and wouldn't draw any conclusions until I played about 10 games each way.
