Re: Ratings guide - xls attached

So does anyone else have comments about this document? How about on aggression specifically? I know lowering DBs to 0 or 1 is commonly accepted. What about other players?

Is changing catch ratings that important for WRs to get accurate QB%?

Any comments would be appreciated for the "new" guy

The biggest area of consternation in the game is QB stats. You can pretty much either get the QBs to play fairly realistically on the field OR when you sim the games. It is difficult to get both. So, you will see inflated QB stats with my suggestions to a great degree when you sim games, but I feel the games you actually play on the field are more realistic looking an playing - lower INTs, higher QB %, etc.

So is there some middle ground to get both...perhaps a combination of sliders and ratings changes? Puja, it seems you focused on CBs aggression and catch. Is that about it? Cap you focused on making everyone stronger. Just curious on how to get the best of both worlds.

Is this affected by the amount sim quarter length option?

Not really. QB stats will still be inflated for the most part. I use 5 min sim qtrs.

I can confirm that the sim qtr length unfortunately has nothing to do with the effect on the score/stats. It's too bad. Even in game partial simming gets messed up. For ex., if you play a half and get some good stats, you can't quit and end with a realistic score and/or stats most any time.

After puja publishes his roster, I'm going to take a strong look at capa's nos. again, combined with my own, and try to get the best damn in-game experience possible.

Re: Ratings guide - xls attached

My files are going pretty good for a balance of gameplay and sim but sim qb's stats do tend to go a little higher than what's ideal.

Sim Qb ratings are generally around 10 points higher to get better gameplay and generally the td's are around 5 higher for most.Yards aren't too out of hand.

The main area that bothers me is the receivers stats are too low in receptions and yards. You can go 6 min. sim but will inflate other areas some.In sim the catches get spread out too much. You have to play individual games per week with different teams otherwise to get receiving stats to be where they should.

there's no way around this. exactly the same thing in my rosters. QB stats are a little high, but need to be to get good CPU v HUM QB play...
