Damn all you xboxers get to have all the fun. Does anyone know how I can transfer these rosters to my ps3 since I have a 60 GB with backwards comp? Like do I just use the converted PS2 rosters and Franchise files or do I have to jump through other hoops to get a modern game rolling on NFL 2k5.

Re: JSOU'S 2008-09 Roster Update #1

Jsou,

I just played my first game with your rosters, and all I can say is....WOW. I've been playing with Puja's rosters ever since I started playing 2K5 again a couple of months ago, and I've been very happy with them. However, I had gotten to a certain point where I was winning at a better than average rate (even with numerous slider tweaks), and I wanted to see if there was a way where I could get a greater challenge, while maintaining a certain level of "realistic" stats. The thing that has always bugged me about 2K5 was the horrible QB stats. I'm a big stat guy, so when I see P. Manning, K. Warner, and C. Pennington completing in the low to mid 50%'s, I get annoyed REALLY quick....

So, this week I decided to read your thread, and I became excited when I heard that your -25% pass/run coverage method helped out on the QB completion % issue. I tested it out in my 49ers franchise last night, and in game 1 against the Cards, Warner completed in the high 60%'s. Being that he completed about 67% of his passes this season, I'd say that's right on par with where he should be.

The game was definitely a challenge. It just has a different feel than what I've been used to. I used the settings that you have posted, along with Performance EQ being on, but the only thing that I have changed was the Game Speed to "Fast". I just like the game speed better on fast because it feels a little more realistic to me. I hope this doesn't affect your rosters at all, because I really don't want to compromise the gameplay that you've created. The thing that I noticed straightaway, is that the running game is TOUGH with these. I think I had like 55 yards on 20 carries with F. Gore. I couldn't get anything going up the middle at all. I tried to use sweeps and tosses also, but I only had limited success with those as well. I'm pretty excited about playing more games tonight.

With that being said, I had a couple of questions that maybe you (or anybody) could answer about these rosters.

NOTE: I did attempt to search the thread for answers to these questions before I asked, just to let everybody know....

1) I usually like to play as many of the games on the NFL schedule as possible, so I was wondering what the process would be on using your -25% coverage method when controlling all teams (if it is even possible)?

2) Will the game speed set to "fast" affect your settings/rosters in any way that you know of?

Thanks for your help!

Great rosters!

Great rosters!
1) don't think that's possible since you have to edit your team before the season starts. You could however pick out a handful of teams to use then use the -25% method.
2) I tried fast but just didn't like the passing aspect of the setting. Running is ok
Enjoy the rosters, give me some more feedback on the games you play as well.

Re: JSOU'S 2008-09 Roster Update #1

Hi Jsou, I'm the one that posted the thread "hard to stop the run" on the main boards. I just wanted to let you know that your settings and roster are PERFECT for playing against another human player. I've been playing with friends and all of them have been nail biting games. I had a game yesterday, NO vs SD and the final score was 42-38 when it went down to 4th down incompletion with :30 secs left. The game before that was ARI vs PHI and that game went to overtime final score was 20-14. I am having a blast with the game thank you very much for the time you put into the settings and roster.

I do have a question. The question I have for you however is when I play hum vs. com. I have been having trouble stopping the run as of late. If you recommend adjusting the sliders should I move the comp sliders left in blocking or running? What is the main difference between the two sliders? Also, if I would like to run the ball better, do you recommend moving the sliders to the right in blocking or running for the human? Thanks again Jsou!

Seems like there is a lot of dropped passes with these rosters. Anyone else notice that?

Doesn't that just determined fumbles? I thought catch rating determined if he caught it.

Just transfer the file over to your flash drive and you should be goosd to go. it worked for me. PLEASE NOTE - some on this board have stated the franchise freezes after the first year on the PS3 if that's what you are expecting to do.

To be honest I'm not sure what it does. I still get fumbles with the high settings though, and have noticed a better catch to drop ratio. Then again it may just be in my head. lol
