STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS: HOW TO GET LATEST ROSTERS ON 360

ok I have a laptop with vista and I am not able to get this to work..When I try to drag to file to the files in the xport 360 V1.07 it just drops the folder onto my desktop. It won't let me drag it into the xport window. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

For what i have read and experienced, there is a problem when using vista. I have had the same issue. The only way i resolved it was luckily i had another comp in my house with xp and it worked perfectly. i will def try and get more info for you but at the moment i really dont know what else to tell you... I will look into it though

Is there any way once someone has done this to just get the roster file in a format that can be transferred through a memory card with xchange software?

Thanks! I appreciate whatever you can find out..I have tried this a ton of times now and can't figure out what the problem is. It just wont drop the file into the xport 360. I tried to use the xplorer 360 but that wouldn't even recognize my HDD. It just gives me that error. Anyway any help would be appreciated.

If that thread doesnt help I would consider looking at this one, i didnt read through it all bc its very long but looks promising...

Thanks alot! I will try a couple different things after reading through that stuff. Will post when I get a chance to see if I can get it to work.

These instructions are great! Putting the latest rosters into my game was a breeze with the migration kit from Microsoft and the program Xport360 from Codejunkies.com. I just simply connected my 360 hard drive to my computer and followed the rest of the steps. Thanks a lot, thread starter!

So I tried a couple different things last night and have had no luck..actually I think I did something wrong cause when I went to turn on my game my VIP was no longer there. So this is what I did..I used xplorer which read the HDD just fine but I had to run it as administator. Then I opened up the xplorer to to the folder saved from 2k5 that starts with the #5. It still wouln't let me drag and drop so I hit the insert file button on explorer and manually added each file in the 2k5 folder. This is where I think I messed things up. There was 3 different files within the 2k5 folder so I copied the roster file 3 different times under each file that was under the 2k5 folder. There was one file that would crash the explorer when trying to insert it but I would just open it back up and it showed up in the HDD so I don't know if that messed something up either. So then I start up the game, load the rosters and nothing happens, its just the same old roster as always.
