Anyone else think that they REALLY REALLY REALLY need to work on post-whistle scrums? In the game, you can only hit each other back and forth after the whistle. In real life, everyone ties each other up. It usually goes something like this:
1. A forward takes one last shot at the puck after the goalie has it
2. A defender gets mad and pulls the forward away from the goalie
3. The forward gets mad and shoves the defender back
4. Everyone comes in and ties each other up with jersey tugs, headlocks, shoving, grabbing, etc.
5. Referees come in to split it up.
Once they get that corrected, then they can move on to fighting. There needs to be a balance system for the players in the fight. For example, when the computer player tugs you one way, you should have to hold the left stick the opposite way to keep your balance. You can use the right stick to throw punches (works sort of like the hit stick- the direction you flick the stick will be the direction you throw a punch). Additionally, there are hardly ever any knockout punchs in an NHL fight. The fight either ends by:
1. A player losing his balance and falls to the ice while dragging the other player down with him.
2. The referees split it up after they get tired
*Okay, NOW back on topic*
