Re: NHL 12 "Be A GM" Mode Discussion Thread

A surprise playoff run was halted by injuries to my starting goalie....take a look and see how I battled this problem and how I now have 26 players under the age of 25 ready to play in the NHL

http://www.operationsports.com/Bloop...stars-2016-17/

Please comment, I won't start the season until tomorrow evening, so if anyone has any comments, I would enjoy them before the season.

Getting excited to add a few rookies into the line-up!

First order of business. Could anyone tell me where you get those charts that i see so many people using? And how to upload them and whatnot.

It would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks
On the tab row that begins with "My Arena", click the tab that says dynasty, then the link saying dynasty table generator. On the right side there is a column you can pick your sport and whatever you want to write down. Click that, enter your information, click the button at the bottom, then just copy and paste the sequence that is generated. =)

Season done. Won the Cup and Presidents trophy again. Team's starting to age a little, will have to start planning for replacements.

Alright for all those interested. I just typed up an entire list of my ahl roster for the 2017-2018 season of my Charlotte Cobras GM mode.

Just to clarify, I used the number section to indicate what line that player is playing on in the minors, and the Birthplace section to indicate their potential.

Re: NHL 12 "Be A GM" Mode Discussion Thread

Ive considered it, only thing is i figure Lehner will probably be my goalie for the entirety of my gm mode, unless i cant afford him.

I had a question, are most of you guys playing on hard difficulty? Does that make players ask for more money? Because i saw people saying they were paying players like 10 mill a season and my highest paid player makes like 5.2 mill lol. I barely broke the cap floor and my team is 100 in everything. I think im on medium difficulty tho, Which was a stupid thing to do haha but I've been playing this season since the game came out.

Oh , also. how come i couldn't post that into a blog? I didnt want to clutter up the forum like that haha, but when i tried to post in a blog it said i wasnt authorized or something lol

Keep in mind, TWFs are criminally underrated by their "overall" stat. Playmakers can get a 90 overall ranking from having good passing and offensive awareness. None of my players fit this mold. Everybody has good defensive and athletic stats. Also, Linden and Deschamps have B ratings in potential and should be really good next year.

Donnally, Hulse, and Beardmore all asked for the league minimum. In UFA. I think the game didn't intend for players to ask for more than 20 million, so it just rolled over to the minimum. I traded for Loyns 'cause I didn't care, I had so much cap room. Otherwise I wouldn't have taken on such a huge contract. Keep in mind players can sign for a max of 25 million.. none of my guys have signed for more than half that.

Next year is my last. Nittymaki, Boileau, Ribeiro, Osala, Donald, Doig, Sharrow, Linden, Deschamps, Dingle, and Milam are UFA. I plan to let Osala, Donald, and Dingle go. This should leave me with more than enough money to sign the rest for one last hurrah.

Re: NHL 12 "Be A GM" Mode Discussion Thread

@ Bgizzle, a lot of it has to do with the time frame you're in. Since you're in the 2017-18 (where I am now), you naturally pay players less because they aren't so greedy like they get in 2020 and beyond (it seems).

Good looking forward prospects, some good defencemen too, but, come on, Bob Mckenzie? That's the best name I've seen so far, even beats our Zweihander's John Stewart!

I would play Hornqvist for like 15 games. It should grow him at least 4 overall points, if not more, as long as his performance is decent (pair him with your top AHL d-man)

@ Duchene, I've seen this before, although I think the glitch is when they want league maximum, cause I've had one of my ex-players sign in Montreal for nearly $21 million once. On one hand, great break for you! on the other, it kind of sucks that the game allows it to happen. Kind of ruins the latter years when you don't have to make sacrifices. Great team though, probably the strongest I've seen, and all are signed to very reasonable contracts from your perspective, other than Beaulieu.
