Anyone else having issues with their players not changing lines when you tell them to? I was in overtime and iced the puck. After I won the ensuing faceoff I ordered a line change and sent the puck down into the cpu zone (not an icing). NONE of my guys changed even though there was ample time to do so. The cpu ended up coming back into my zone and scored the winner because my guys were tired (couldn't get over on a rebound). None of my players changed up even though I ordered it and I had sent the puck into the cpu zone.
This has started happening after powerplays and penalty kills, too. After it's over I'll order a line change and my guys will never change until the next whistle, even if I dump the puck into the cpu zone. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I see it a lot after I kill a penalty.
The guy who comes out of the box will stay out there through 3 or 4 shifts until a whistle.
A sneaky way to change lines after an icing is to get in a fight. When the fight is over and guys are sent to their respective penalty boxes you can change your lines.

I've seen players get stuck on the wrong line like that as well. When I see that happen, I'll stop with the puck behind my net so I'm not attacking. Then I'll cycle right through my lines once, and then settle on a new line that's fully rested. I won't say it works every time, but it can help to get the guy off the ice.

More or less what I do.
Just jam down circle and square a few times (or whatever it is on 360).

Yeah. This is honestly one of the most annoying parts of this game. That auto line changes aren't that good and I fumble through the manual ones cause of the dumb AI.

The easiest and most effective time to change lines is actually when you don't have the puck and are retreating to play defense... which is the complete opposite of what you do in real life.
To the OP, I've never seen my manual line changes completely ignored (often one guy stays out there too long) are you sure you didn't forget to set it to manual line changes before the game?
