EA Sports NHL>BAP Goalie Teamplay Grade?

Okaaaay has anyone figured out what exactly affects this? I thought the patch was supposed to address this a bit, but I have had shutout games and still have yet to get past a B+ on the teamplay rating.

The only thing I have noticed that affects it I think is making desperation or big saves as noted by the announcers, and maybe shutout periods since they are listed under "teamplay stats"

Can't for the life of me figure out what else if anything goes into your grade though... It would seem to me posting a shutout is some damn fine A+ worthy teamplay but the game seems to think otherwise.

I can't help but think the low amount of shots you face on goalie BAP even on superstar has something to do with it.. which leads to another queston.. anybody have any sliders that offer some fair challenge with goalie BAP? I really wanna have fun with this mode to practice for EASHL and all but sometimes it is painfully boring... [Reply]

I believe that playing the puck too much damages your team play. When you have the puck covered, try not to play it as much and freeze it. Too many people just keep the puck in play rather than freeze it. Goalies (especially human goalies) almost always control the flow of play. Don't be afraid to cover the puck and get the faceoff one and awhile. [Reply]

There seems to be 4 ways to improve team play when I play goalie.

1. Stop a breakaway goal/odd man rush - Whenever I stop one or 2 in a game I get an A+ in team play every time. If you don't stop a breakaway goal the negative feedback will be Tough luck on that breakaway goal.

2. Make a desperation save - This is where it gets dicey. I no longer use the desperation save moves since they are very risky. Even on breakaways I don't use them. However if you do use them, that will raise your team play.

3. Listen to your coach when you have the puck and you are covering it. You will sometimes hear your coach yell "play it" or "freeze it/wait for the whistle". Not entirely sure if following those commands help your team play or not but once I got lucky and accidently passed it whenever he yelled "play it" one game and my team play for the game was an A+. I say accidently because the coach commands are a bit too slow for the time needed to make a decision on to pass it or not. So I passed it when I saw fit and it matched what the coach said a second after I passed it. Your better off just freezing it.

4. If you have the opportunity to do so play the puck behind the net and clear it a few times. That also seems to help. Whenever I get a "safe" chance to go back there and play the puck it also helps. [Reply]
