Stop picking the Pens, Wings and Blackhawks!

I'm so sick of EVERY person I join a game with shooting right to the Pens, Wings or Hawks. I'm sick of it. Why can't people pick a decent team that doesn't have Crosby, Ovechkin or the Blackhawks? I just don't get it. Sure, they're fun to be. But it isn't a challenge and it's especially lame when I pick a team like the Blue Jackets or something, and they still pick a top team.

Granted, if these people are legit fans of these teams, it's cool, but I know I'm not facing fans of them EVERY time I play online.

And oh ya, stop exploiting the powerful wristers after wrapping around the net. This game is so amazingly frustrating to play. Combine that with people NEVER getting penalties for interference, or never getting penalties for stick lifting every 2 seconds. Yet I try it once, from a legit position, and I get a game misconduct. Annoying as hell.

And I don't care about my DNF, as soon as someone does an exploit chance on me, even if they don't score, I'm quitting. I refuse to have a video game experience where my opponent is knowingly exploiting, and CONSTANTLY continuing to ONLY try to score that one way.

I rarely pick the Bruins. Maybe once every 20 games or so. Probably less.

It's just too predictable though. As soon as I click ranked match, bam, there's some kid rushing to pick a top 5 team. It's annoying.

Well, I'm from Chicago, and I've always been the Hawks - from the Roenick days, to the Amonte days, to the Arnason/Bell/Calder days, to the Toews and Kane days. I will continue to be the Hawks...every time

meh...I always pick Phoenix. Don't know why I've never even been there or watched one of their games, but I picked them in Be A GM and just continue to stick with them. However, if someone picks a great team why not just pick the other great team? Then crush them and call it a day.

I hear you and agree sort of, blinkfan77. I have though the same thing when playing people in Madden, NCAA Football and Basketball, NBA, NHL, you name it. Even FN4... But you know it is really fun to beat those people who just jump on a band wagon and pick the "best" in game team! But remember it's how you play not who you play with.

I also disagree in some instances. I am a Hawks fan! I have watched the Hawks since the 80's when I started watching and enjoying hockey. I'm from South Bend and it seemed a good fit. It sucks that my team has not won a cup since I've been a fan, but we have played in one and could again soon. I am also a Cubs, Bulls, Notre Dame, and Cowboys fan. Now if you want to talk about a glutton for punishment, here I am! At least I saw 6 championships from the Bulls, 1 NC from the Irish, and 4 Superbowls Wins from the Boys. As for the Cubs.... See you again next year! :-)

Nothing like taking my 'Canes and slamming the shutout door on both the Penguins and Capitals. To my surprise though, my opponents stayed throughout the full game.
