Not sure about NHL10, but I called and asked what the trade in value for Madden 09 would be toward Madden 10, the dude at Gamestop checked and came back to the phone and said, " Umm, yeah, it's $4 "...... 4 bucks ?!?! sheesh, I decided to just keep 09 as a souvenir...lol [Reply]

Gamestop really rips you on the sports titles more than anything. [Reply]

Well, if you trade the games in early (meaning within a few months after release) you will most likely get $20 to $25.

I also attempted to trade Madden 09 (the anniversary edition) and it was worth $7.

I kept it because of the extras. Trade in value for sports game decreases due to replayability issues. Most people want the newest edition of a game so many of the older versions sit and collect dust. [Reply]

I never sell to the game stores, Half.com works the best for me. If you price it right you will sell it easy, and the buyer pays the shipping (about $3.00).

See the link below, you should easily get $45 for it..

Not to be a gamestop apologist but they do have to assume a lot of inventory so it would be foolish to give much more than that for a sports game. You might buy a copy of Madden off a friend for $20 and it would be great, but if you had to buy 100 friends copies of Madden I don't think you'd want to do it, especially since the game is almost unsellable now cuz of the new version. I used to work for a clothing retailer and I always got a chuckle out of the customer who was like, well this only costs you X amount from the manufacturer why does it cost so and so. That said you are better off seling games yourself on Ebay. Gamestop is more of a convenience thing for me.

Toys R Us is pretty good too only because they'll take pretty much anything. I had some games that wouldn't even sell on ebay and they would at least give me a buck for them. Ended up with $85 bucks which I held onto until they did a buy 2 get 1 and turned that into 3 new release PS3 games with only an extra $40 coming out of pocket.

WOW did I ever get off topic. Anyway to answer the 1st question, I would guess $25 would be what gamestop is giving. [Reply]

You sure you want to trade this in?

I have seldom had more fun with a game. It is incredibly addictive.

I'm sure there are flaws, but none that jump out at me, anyway. (I don't play that GM mode or on-line). Strictly season mode and custom playoffs and tournaments. It's fantastic.

Only two minor complaints: Too many shots hit the goal post, and simmed standings are bad (crappy teams like Columbus on top and good teams like Boston sucking -- I know, I know, it's like that right now in real life. But it's not going to stay that way). [Reply]
