Jersey Code and Roster Update?

Now that the NHL season has started, has anyone heard when we can expect to see the jersey code released, as well as the roster update that includes this years rookies?

Most likely around the 15th or so. They generally like to wait until most or all the rookies have an NHL game under their belt so they can add them to the game.

I'm really hoping that the greyed out jersey for the Blackhawks is the Winter Classic jersey. That would be great.

It's been comfirmed already. They ditched the Black Alt for the winter classic jersey.

The black alternate jersey is in the game. Are you saying the Hawks will not wear the black alternate jerseys this year?

Afinogenov is on the Russian national team and PetrPuck has a good Kane CAP if you wanted to do it yourself.

Really? That would have to be the case b/c there is no grayed out jersey for the Red Wings, and they obviously would have the corresponding Winter Classic jersey with the old script "D" on the front.

For all of the microtransaction B.S. EA tried to throw in their games this year, I would be much happier if they just included a home, away, and 3rd jersey for every team (assuming they have one), and then make every conceivable jersey for purchase from Day One. Seriously, if I don't care about the Atlanta Thrashers, then I'm not going to care if I have the 2002 version of their jersey or the current one. But if I play with one or two teams over and over again, I'd be willing to pay $1 or $2 each for the jersies of my choice, and I'd certainly want to be able to add new jersies during the year and the Winter Classic stuff.

THAT's the type of thing EA could make a buck on without harming the integrity of their product, as opposed to selling player boosters and crap in Madden that delays retirement for a year. Haha.

I'm with you in a way, Storm. I wouldn't be willing to pay for jersey updates, but I would totally be on board if they had some sort of DLC that would add new equipment worn during the year by players, like the newest goalie pads, gloves, sticks, and helmets. Too bad it's obvious the logistics make it impossible to add things like that to the game after it's finished. Somehow I think it would benefit us anal players who want the players to look accurate, and also would probably help drive up sales for gear in real life.
