Hockey has only been around for 4 years!!!!

Career stats in this game make me sick. In Be a GM why do career stats ONLY go back 4 years? Not totals, but season by season. Every sports game I've ever owned (including EA NHL series) has shown season by season career stats...why why why do you only have 4 years? Geez, even MADDEN has season by season career stats that go back, well the whole career. That's why they're called career stats. This really makes me want to get 2K10...

What is frustrating is that EA has just added the stats every year since NHL 08.

Their franchise people really need to get their **** in gear or get the hell out of the building for someone else to do the job.

To be honest as much as I love the gameplay these little things and the lack of franchise depth get to me every year, and eventually I lose interest in my franchise and the game sits on the shelf until playoff time. I'm a big little things guy.

It's not that it hinders enjoyment in any way, it just seems like a no-brainer that that sort of stuff should be in the game.

I'm with you. I keep a dynasty page up and running. Its the only way to have historic stats, even though I've yet to put them in.

While this is a bit confusing as to why they aren't better at being more detailed oriented I don't see how this one issue makes someone want to get a different game. Heck I love create a team in sports games and EA's has been far worse than 2k's, but last year I happily made the swich to this series because of gameplay. Sure there are other important features, but when it gets down to it the game sits on ym shelf if it isn't fun to play the games.

No, it doesn't take ANYTHING away from gameplay, nor does it "hinder" the experience. But I buy sports games because of 1) replayability 2) Franchise depth. Ever since madden 99 all I care about is the franchise. If you have a garbage franchise mode (madden 10...soooo many bugs) then the game is ruined. Especially in hockey. Generally your nto going to play 82 games. But if you play most of them, and find terrible stats, broken offseason AI logic, and things like missing career stats, it kills the franchise experience which is most important to me. I like to be able to look at career stats and see trends and patterns....is a player getting better or worse. Things like that are curcial in franchise mode.
