My First NHL Games since '95. Editing Be A Pro?

I just got my first NHL game since '95 and picked up '10 for 360. I started a Be a Pro offline but cannot figure out how to edit my character. Must I be a blonde haired guy from Vancouver?

u can edit his looks and equip in the "nhl shop" by pressing the RT. but i havnt been able to find out how to change all his info. cuz i dont wanna be a 6'0 195 defender from vancouver... lol
