Re: NHL10 Gripes/Bugs/Glitches Thread

I notice my CPU teammates always hold up at the red line, even though it doesn't count as a 2 line pass anymore. Sometimes they have room to move up, but always hold up there.

Re: NHL10 Gripes/Bugs/Glitches Thread

This is the only glitch I recall so far. Playing Be A Pro with the position lock setting as a right wing. A teammate took a penalty. We took the faceoff and started on the kill. On a subsequent clear I went off for a line change and thereafter had no player to control. I got to play as someone else shortly thereafter -- the guy in the box? -- and when I went off for a change again I was no longer controlling anyone. Instead my Be A Pro player was out on the ice being controlled by the CPU in the BAP camera. At a break in play it let me control someone but when I'd go over the boards for a change I'd always have to watch until the next break in play, including watching my BAP player if he happened to be the one heading over the boards.

Oh yeah. Not sure if this counts as a glitch since it only happened once, but there's this. On the PK I cleared the puck down the ice. The opposing goalie skated out, passed it right to me and I got a nice easy shorty.

Just wondering why the game clock is going fast?

It automatically counts down from 20, regardless of your clock settings. Meaning, it would go faster on lower time settings...unless I'm misunderstanding?

Hey Redshirt... Hopefully you're reading this thread as well... The faceoffs need fixed again this year. More "randomness" is needed. This is on position lock. Every game I played my team won the opening faceoff, and the puck came to my player I had position lock. I've always locked onto RD (not sure if that matters.)

But, just started a game as Bos (me) vs Philly. Game started, face off came to my player. I restarted the game, and exact same thing. 5 / 5 restarts came to MY player. There definitely needs to be randomness like you had last year....

I don't think EA did anything with the commentary this year. They said the same things about the Blackhawks in this game they said last NHL 09. No mention of them reaching the Conference finals or how the crowd is back in Chicago, etc. I wish they would have used fresh commentary... Speaking of, anyone play with the Pittsburgh Penguins? Wondering if they mention the Stanley Cup win...?

He freezes at any roster movements screen except for edit lines unless you try to open his profile.
I'm on PS3 too. I'm not sure why it happened, but I was scrolling through some of the Euro rosters, and the menu gfx froze up...I could still hear menu sfx, but then I pressed the PS button to try and quit and then the whole console froze and I had to power it off manually. Not good if there are roster glitches happening! This is with the Sept14 EA roster update.

Re: NHL10 Gripes/Bugs/Glitches Thread

Dont know if anyone else have seen this, but, Yesterday my team played a game in EASHL, and directly after the faceoff (they won it), the center skates back in the middle of the two defenders, Hit a Dump/slapshot, and it went in, so, basically, between the harshmarks in their own zoon, ok, thought it was weird, and they tried it all game long, so I think this is something they have done alot, you just dont skate back to your own goalie in the start of the game and hit a slapshot if you dont know their is a chance the puck will go in.

If you do a "rematch" the outcome will be the same, but it shouldn't be if you quit back out to the front-end and play again. Outside of the rematch quirk on the opening draw the random element in the outcome of the draws is increased this year.
